Keionte Scott Is What NFL Teams Want in a Modern Nickel (video)

I don't think so, his age combined with not being able to play outside will limit his "long-term upside" from NFL gm minds imo. Whereas Mesidor has the same long-term upside questions, EDGE is such a more valuable position than nickel (or safety) and after mesidor the Edges in the class are all either like pure pass rushers like Howell or R Mason Thomas or bigger edges that aren't expected to bring even close to the pass rush ability as mesidor like Parker, Zion Young, Jacas. (my favorite edge after Bain, Reece, Bailey, and Mesidor is Malachi Lawrence).

That's not to say Scott SHOULDN'T be a 1st rounder. I just think 35-50 is more his range than 25-35.... While Mesidors range is probably 15-25. I don't think there is any chance Mesidor falls past 25.

But I'd rather have Scott in the box than McNeil-Warren

Yup his play speed combined with the fact that he never came in out of control on tackles was just so elite.
Like literally If you were drawing up a nickel I don't think you'd draw a player up any different.. I mean maybe be closer to like 205-210 instead of 195? But I think at his size there is no run support drop off. And too heavy might limit his pass coverage a bit too much. Longer and bigger would be helpful specifically to cover TEs though... but man. Just a monster at Nickel....
