Keiontae Scott first two game cutup

Plays at a different speed and physicality level than everyone else in our secondary. The others flash it but Scott is at that level on every snap and stands out.

Could just be where he's closer to the LOS and around the ball more but I'm still waiting to see Poyser/Lucas/OJ play with his level of urgency and energy.
Poyser been a disappointment so far(still a big fan long term) but Scott has been a god send after what we dealt with the last few years

yeah I think it is something you just live with. Also this could make perfect sense on why he struggled as an outside CB when they moved him there at Auburn. His eyes are always in the backfield, when you are on the outside by yourself that leads to some big plays, I feel like in the slot you can sometimes get away with it as there is usually more congestion and someone to help clean up a mistake and it is not as glaring. As long as it is not reckless aggressiveness I am good with it and anticipate some lumps down the road.
Could not agree more.
And then it is the job of the coaches to not put him in a bad spot, like we did against ND when he was playing a traditional safety role on the busted coverage, that does not suit his skill set. He needs to play near the LOS as he did so effectively against BC.

Agree on Poyser. Looks like a G5 safety. Still pretty young and could just be adjusting to the speed of the game and the defense overall.

I know he's faster and more athletic than he's looked so I think there's still a chance that he gets it going and makes it look right.

Pretty good awareness on some of the routes he's had to recover on. Has gotten spun around a couple times, too, so that's something to pay attention to on wheels and double moves on the sideline. Has played pretty great moving forward and on in-breaking routes. Most of all, has shown the speed Jaden Davis didn't, and the run support pop Tecory Couch couldn't provide.

You are correct. He was moved from nickel to outside last year and struggled. No idea why they moved him except there was a DC change from Ron Roberts (now at UF) to DJ Durkin.
