Good guy that just wasn't as effective as he once was. Would like to see him still affiliated with the program in some administrative capacity but it was time to end his active coaching role. Love this move because it signifies that Richt is valuing on field results over everything else. Sentimentality for Art means nothing. Ice's "community ties" mean nothing. Beard's "enthusiasm" means nothing. Bout time.

Now if he gets rid of Swasey I'll go ahead and grade him a 100. I don't even need to see the replacement hires.

Disagree... nice guys finish last and he was never a good oline coach. He was as bad a hire as our last 2 HC's.
 
Gentlemen, and just in case, ladies, if I could up vote all of these responses more than once, I would. I want Kehoe around the program b/c Lord knows this man bleeds orange and green....just no type of coaching position.

When Richt said he was waiting until after the bowl game, he wasn't playing. I wonder if he initially meant to wait until Monday but saw that game and was like "Oh **** No. Y'all gots to go."
