Keeping it Real...........

27th is highly ranked Defense? Even after that BC game that inflated the numbers? Anyone who thinks we are a “high ranked” Defense is keeping it real stupid.

Again the stats and ranking lies!! This defense gave been unable thru 4 games to get out the field when it counts. 3 and 4 down defense is atrocious. Plus bottom line they have not been able to hold leads.

They didn’t run a single play in the redzone till there was 8 minutes left in the game and there’s threads like this about firing baker but we’re not sold on Enos LMAO. You guys truly are special on this site.

Baker is pure trash. Pass rush, play calling and scheme is being terrible. LTech level

Yes top 25 is highly ranked. Most teams started with 2 cupcakes not 2 P5 like us.

Does offense leaving them on the field all day long have an impact on the defense performance
Offense? Did you not see the penalties this team got on Defense that kept them on the field on 3rd/4th downs. Defense shot themselves in their own foot tonight.

Miami is 4th in the nation on 3rd down defense

From Stefan:
The real story of the game was the Miami defense, though. With Shaq Quarterman (14 tackles, 2 TFL) anchoring the middle of the field, the Canes held the Chippewas offense to 10 points (2 points came courtesy of a safety on offense) and under 250 total yards, improving their season ypg average (276.7 ypg coming in). UM especially suffocated CMU on the ground, holding the Chippewas to just 31 yards on 27 carries (1.1 ypc).

It's hard to judge Enos with that OL. We have 2 freshmen starting on it. Really hard to judge. I thought that it was poor QB play today as well.

Don’t have Zion out there...

Scaife Donaldson gaynor reed and whoever at RT with chip help from the TE should be more than enough to be respectable

We aren’t an NFL minor league team play the players who help you win NOW

Sad truth is y'all can argue is the Offense the worst problem, the Defense, the ST? Is the coaching to blame most, is the talent to blame most... and everyone can make wining points (= losing football.)

List your football credentials mouth breather and let's see you break down the scheme and play calling.

F'n clowns that sit on the couch and arm chair QB the **** out of everything.

News flash ... our D since Manny has been here is predicated on good safety play. We don't have good safety play. Shaq is a liability covering backs and we also have two new corners plus Bandy who has taken several steps back this far this season.

I wonder how CMU’s QB that was starting only his second game ever was able to play so well, but our freshmen need time to gel. The excuses are getting old. There are dominant freshmen all over college football, ours are the only ones that seem to suck overall. Corching has a lot to do with it.

David Moore was 23/50 for 217 yds for a 4.3 avg and one INT with a 29.8 QBR

He also fumbled (and lost) the ball twice.

Tell me again how that is playing well?

Stats don’t tell the whole tale. His receivers dropped a bunch of passes, and we played a bunch of 3-man rush sets, giving him all day to scan the field. Our secondary was pretty bad today.

Don’t know what game you were watching, but the performance by our Canes was a train wreck from top to bottom. We made McEltoof look competent as a head coach today, that should tell you all you need to know.
