KB Appreciation

Dre hasn't lived up to their prior stats. Barkate, I think we can get more out of him. Upshaw is more of a slot. It would be nice to see Wingo work himself into snaps if Dre isn't going to become a key deep threat.

Overall- it's hard to judge KB when he has a kid like Toney who forces others to live up to his standard.
 
Yes, to Beard. BUT, needs to keep earning his keep by getting 1 or 2 of Wingo, Spafford, Jacob's ready for meaningful snaps. Can't keep playing the same three receivers 99% of the time. FSU and their sucky db's will be a great opportunity.

Yes but we can judge him not just on this year alone. Overall his tenure here as WR coach under Mario has been really good IMO

Dre looks like a miss but long season, hopefully we get something out of portal evals (Dre and WVU kid who left), we had a guy like KJ Duff who buying property down here and was down here soo much this offseason.. Thats what we are missing to me..

Many prior to season felt this was #1 WR room in nation, watching games nationally and watching our games multiple times, Im not seeing #1 room.. Definitely premature, we need to get Wingo on track..

Barkate also had an easy drop and was involved in the penalty that cost us the Mali TD.

Absolutely but that’s what you get with a board full of idiots that know nothing about football. You got a bunch of know nothings on here that never even played the game that think because they played madden they know better than anyone else. This place, even after a win, becomes mad maddening sometimes.

I’d say Cooper stepped up pretty well last night sport. I’d say he stepped up pretty well, indeed.

I been pushing for him to be more involved.. I like we broke out the '23 TAMU play shallow cross screen on 3rd down for Colbie Young for him, he ran it last year with Duke against Illinois against man coverage also.. Running that rub route but making sure to get behind line of scrimmage was key against man.. Also LOVE him getting down field on fade coverage and making contested catch.. That is what we NEED.

I DONT CARE who they have outside, we should not be scared to throw downfield.. We NEED more of that or it will turn to defenses just keying in on Mali every 3rd down.. no bueno..

More bunch formations with barkate on the opposite side. We will eventually start crushing teams with back shoulder throws if they go man on him.
