Odd he'd only have 1 sack. You'd think they rush an athlete like that more often
 
Great measurables and he looks athletic enough but I'd like to see more violence on the tape. Not enough knocking people back and pop. Maybe we can get it out of him but JJ looks like a much better prospect imo
 
Things I liked about his tape:

Goes for the tackle instead of the hit

Things I didn't like:

Tackles all seem to be of the "hip drop" variety, instead of running through the carrier

Ultimately we just need to Hit on the portal Lb. I’m very confident though that Busch won’t be playing next season.

We have to realize!...there is development going on in that room. So, we have to give heatherman a full year with that room before we can judge....I like wiley,popo,Washington, pruitt( Lightfoot role), Edwards, campbell, busch, even marcelin looked bigger so far!!

Are we sure about this? It looked he was playing LB vs. TAMU

Obviously there is a lot of gray area between our safety/nickle/3rd LB (When on field) they move him around and both LB and S end up over the slot sometimes. But of the 8 snaps he played vs. TAMU. 5 were in the box or edge, and 3 covering the slot.

Not saying Pruitt will portal but it’ll be interesting to see what Heatherman and co. do this offseason

They clearly hit on some people they all identified (Toure/Thomas/Scott) so wouldn’t be shocked to see some guys get encouraged to move on that the previous staff brought on board

Ya with no spring portal it makes it tricky for some of these kids.

For instance take Popo. If we bring in a stud LB…And Wiley and the Portal Stud are top 2. Is Popo gonna want to hang around and be either LB #3 or #4 for the last year of his college career? AND he won't have spring ball to figure this out. No info on Popo doing this or feeling this way, I'm just using him as an example that fits.

A kid like that may see the opportunity elsewhere for 600 snaps instead of 200-300 for the 3rd consecutive year.

You’re spot on with this post and your post about these guys being multiple positions

I’m not an X and O guru but sometimes when I see Heathermans formations I feel like I’m legit clueless. He’s moving guys all over the place all the time

Is it because he just got here and he’s doing what he can with what he’s been given? Is that what we expect to see? Both?

We’ve got a ton of DBs and hybrids that need to get sorted out

Holding out hope that someone is here that can do damage with all the “tweeners” that seem to be everywhere in South Florida high schools

I am really hoping Wiley is who we all thought he was, that can change the entire defense next year. But I agree its crazy with the portal now, and if guys like that stay even though there snaps are limited.....it will tell you about the culture Mario created. Cause I think even if you get less snaps you may want to stay to get coached up by Heatherman. You may want to risk less snaps to get coached up by this guy.
