This staff couldn't have that type of player on the team. They would be 2nd in command inside the locker room.

And that’s where the problem really lies...not only in the horrible coaching, preparation and play calling creativity, but also in the lack of savages on our team.

Our old teams where full of Alpha dogs that were out for blood every week. JJ encouraged that, it was our calling card. When you played the Canes back then all bets were off. Other teams players were peeing themselves in the field knowing that they were going up against dudes that didn’t give a ****.

The program has been completely neutered now. No doubt about it.

The death of the program was when Butch left, when u look back at it now that was it. The program is not even on life supports its dead, we have become Nebraska its over. If we not throwing money around at recruits u can forget about a revival.

D, I know u’ve toted this phrase b4, but I don’t think we’re dead. I think we’re fcked, yes, but not dead. Every empire has seen this.

Before Bama became the Bama we know now, it took them 13 yrs to win their next Nat’l title (at our expense, ironically) and took them another 27 yrs to win it again. The key? Hiring Saban.

Before USC became a juggernaut, their last national title was 1982. The key? Hiring Carroll.

Before Clemson became a juggernaut, their last national title was 35 yrs apart. The key? A young, upcoming coach in Dabo.

Before OSU won their title and became a thorn to us fans, it was a 32 yr draught. The key? The Vest and Meyers.

What’s the point my dude? Great programs experience this when they become comfortable. We’re not dead; we’re simply a head coach away.

I wanted Butch, not b/c I thought he could win a national title, but b/c he still has clout among many old school Canes fans, he knows how to recruit and develop, and no doubt he would’ve made this job extremely attractive for the next coach. But now that I see how soon he’s turned around FIU, it’s no doubt in my mind he would’ve had us up and running.

Miami is a different animal. Our fans, my brethren are a different animal. The city is a different animal. This recruit base is a different animal. We need a guy who can take this animal by the horn. The only personality that would work here is a win at all cost type of personality. Butch would’ve been that guy w/o the drama.

We’re not dead, it just feels like it b/c we keep getting handed the same chit. Hopefully w a guy like Vilma on the BOT, he’ll help. Hopefully as more and more former players speak up, it’ll get in their heads. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

You're exactly right. Polar opposite.

Great post, Relly!

When Mork was announced as HC, the Never Butch idiots fell over themselves in heaping praise on the Georgia reject.
"It was the best thing that could have happened."
"Mork fell into our laps just in the nick of time" and so on and so forth.
Mork, as we predicted, was not the right man for the job. His admin hasn't even been neutral, but an abject failure. **** him and all the Never Butch crowd.

Most of all, I condemn the cowardly BOT that wallows in failure: worthless AD hires; worthless HC hires; and the utter destruction of a hallowed football program. They have thrown away MILLIONS in the pursuit of MEDIOCRITY. But, when you aim for MEDIOCRITY and fail the result is exactly what we have now, a complete cluster****ed **** show of INCOMPETENCE.

Will they even attempt right this ship any time soon? History shows otherwise. When they do, history shows they'll **** it up royally. It all begins with an exemplary AD, not the feckless cucked **** we currently have.

Now is the time to fire feckless Flake. Let the new AD evaluate Mork's 3-year "progress" and dutifully fire him.

Excellent post, Klama! You’re one of the few dudes that had this pegged right from the beginning, along with @UMFarArcher, @CaneDynasty, @miami305, myself and a few other dudes.

Most people in here were crowning him or tearing down Butch in order to make themselves feel better about the debacle that was taking place. Fast forward to the last couple of months and now most sane people are jumping of the ship without a life jacket.

This is one enormous dumpster fire!

I honestly thought it was crazy to say richt doesn’t care early on but that mf got that contract extension and ever since getting that Extension every week he finds some way to show us he cares less and less
Richt is a phony. Was and always has been. All that piety just masks a craven creature who is getting $4 million to sit on his ***, not recruit or modernize his playbook, and just be lazy. He’s worse than Morris and his destruction of the baseball program. Guy is a jerk and should resign, but he’s too greedy and stubborn to step aside. He can go to ****!

ive been saying this for a while now.... watching Mork ... there is one logical conclusion... he is doing what he is doing ON PURPOSE.

Bro im hurt, I cant even do a video I may shed tears thats how angry I am. I come on here joke about it and laugh cause I care that **** much and its the only way I can show any sort of emotion. I love this team to the end man, I love very few things and I love this U. What they have done is taken it from me and destroyed it, I rather get the death penalty then suffer this.

I’m not even mad. I stopped caring months ago. **** is just funny to me now.

If the admin doesn’t care, why the **** should I?

WE FUQIN BLEW IT,,,,,easiest hire ever and it made the most sense and they blew it

I just dont trust the admin to hire a savage, the difference also is those programs want to win

The fans knew former players knew everyone knew (except people that hated him) and they fuqin messed up big time. If we the fans know more then the admin then theres little hope

I’m in the same place. The worse thing is they did it on purpose.

Dwins. the admin did not make a mistake .... they hired EXACTLY the guy they needed to do exactly what we have been watching happen right in front of us for three years now. They want a nice Ivy League-style football team that has a clean
image. The CANES inner-city thug image of the glory years has to be permanently gone. They don't care about being better than Bama or Clemson and winning championships ..... that is OBVIOUS.

The GIFT and the CURSE
We have an identity crisis
Everyone wants to be the old Us while we hate who we once were and steadily continue to distance ourselves from who were are.

Relly is right, we are not dead at all. We are what we’ve been since 2003...a HCing here away from elite. The recruits that we covet, come with championship level and elite coaches. All the Neal’s, Ingraham’s, Stevenson’s, Bogle’s, and Haselwood’s are Canes EASILY with a dynamic, intelligent and competitive coaching staff.

This is spot on! They don’t like the idea of the school being associated with the working class people of this city. The U used to represent Miami, and we took pride in it. They didn’t like local football players taking the shine from academia. Nerds are territorial about academics. They didn’t leave the orange bowl because of renovations. They left because they didn’t want to be associated with Little Havana and arepa vendors. It was a public relations decision.

I am convinced that since we joined the ACC, revenue convinced them that there is no need for a championship caliber team. The money will still come.
