Recruiting is about to kick into high gear with a flurry of spring visits on deck. Here is the latest:

- There are three names to monitor at quarterback: Will Mencl (Chandler, AZ), Davin Davidson (Sarasota, FL) and Israel Abrams (Chicago, IL). Davidson has been on campus and Mencl and Abrams have visits on deck. It's still too early to call this one, as the visits are key and the QB position is always subject to dominoes falling at other schools. But these are the names in play right now.

- RB Myson Johnson-Cook (East St. Louis, IL) remains a monster priority and...

I don't think we have had the lead for a couple of weeks, if we did. We are still in it.

If FSU was good and had some money, he would be a Nole. If FSU had any signs of momentum and some money, he would probably be a Nole. If you haven't figured it out, he grew up a big Noles fan. He will not be a Nole.

Lame has two commits so far in the 27 cycle, one of whom just visited us and Gaby projected him in his latest mock.

Not exactly the first year bump I’d want as a Tiger fan.

I certainly won’t be writing off any program recruiting wise in April. They are gonna spend a fortune and they are LSU.

I believe A&M is our biggest competition here. The top 5 is Miami, A&M, OSU, ND, and now LSU.

We are in a lot of battles with A&M this year. They’re trying to get another #1 class

He can win there depending on how he builds the roster, but I don't think his roster will be littered with high character football players with elite talent. He can do really good there, I think they may eventually be the class of the SEC or have a chance to be if Kirby doesn't get things together at UGA. The one thing that Lane does that gives him a chance is QBs and that is what UGA seems to struggle at as well as OC. Lane's issues were always evals imo but the portal helped him close that gap a bit. If he does terrible though those fans will turn on him in a hurry.

We were 40 yards from the natty with 9 starters being portal transfers playing their first year as Canes. This is the new landscape of CFB and I’m cool with it because we are good at it.

It’s almost as if leaving your players high and dry during a playoff run doesn’t sit well with prospective players.
