I love the aggressiveness to build depth but I don't think its because our players didnt show but that our numbers are going to go down drastically enough to reup. You have to give freshman at least a year to be ready regardless of stars too.

Chase, Mo and Bonner are gone after this year.

Trying to figure out a way to look at recruit status at lb vs college success, I took all the linebackers drafted in the first 2 rounds of the last 5 drafts and looked up their recruiting rankings. I did this previously in this thread with NFL PFF grades and only one of the top 10 lb in the nlf last year were blue chip prospects, I was curious if that equated with college production.

Problem with using 1st/2nd round in draft is the NFL values athleticism so much more for draft purposes out of LB, meanwhile you can be a great college LB with less than great athleticism or true NFL hopes...
