I love it. No ego, intelligent decisions, calm, distributing the ball with fewer and fewer turnovers.

Im confident with experience Kaaya, like Walsh, will rise to the Occasion when things get tough and become a clutch performer.

Thought exact thing yesterday during the game. He reminds me more and more of Steve Walsh.
 
I love his incompletions and throw aways. They are either in a place where the receiver makes a play or it hits the ground. He doesn't often put us in harms way. HOWEVER, he can still make the throws. That throw to Dorsett yesterday when the PI was not called was perfect!
 
Due to how well were running the ball. I don't mind him just managing. Make no mistake though. He's gonna have some BIG Games in the future. He has that ability.
 
11/17 189 Yds 3 TD 0 Int. Give me that every week. He's doing exactly what needs to be done. Welcome change of pace from our past two QBs who always tried to do way too much.

He's Walsh this year, but by next year, with a full offseason of weight room work, working with his receivers, and mastering the offense, this will become HIS offense.

Right now, it's Duke's offense.

We've needed a guy who could make the right decision for the longest time. Finally got'em.

No. Dorsey did more than that. His pre snap reads and time through his progressions after the snap is what made Dorsey. Kaaya isn't close to that yet.

I feel like the last few games or so he's been going through his progressions a lot better which is why we've seen more throw aways and incompletions. Early in the season he was staring down his receivers and that's why we saw a lot of picks.

Now we're seeing more check downs to Walford and a Duke. We're seeing more throw aways. its gonna be scary when we see him get more comfortable with his progressions. This kid is just special.

LOL, what's your point? ALL QB's have an off game. I haven't seen a QB have a 100% completion year yet. Dorsey wasn't two time Heisman finalist because he sucked.

I usually like your posts, but this is just ignorant. Walsh lost what, one game as a starter. Kaaya's upside as far as the NFL goes is probably a lot higher, but that will be determined years down the road. Go Canes!

I guess I just mean that they're different players.

Kaaya has more arm talent and in the coming years I think you're going to see his pre-snap game rival Dorsey's.

You serious right now? 58% 9565 yds 86 td and 28 int with a career rating of 147.4. Hovering around 60% is average but Incredibly inaccurate? That's got to be a joke. Dorsey wasn't a "game manager" or a "product of the system". He was our college Tom Brady. Dude was a gamer, a true cane, and a football genius. Some of you kill me.

The adjective unspectacular is a tad misleading. In many ways, Kaaya has enjoyed a spectacular season to date - freshman or not. Take a second and name another true frosh QB at Miami who has ever played better?
 
Walsh was our best clutch QB ever. Kaaya has a much better arm, but he goes through progressions like a champ and has some of that same cerebral unflappability that Walsh had.

I agree, incredibly inaccurate is a an overreaction. However, 58% is not very good.
