Spoke to Juwon this morning, he is 100% Cane. Said he's coming in January. After UTOUGH I think he is going to make a immediate impact as a freshman. With Young, Owens, Smith, Figs, Grace, Armbrister, and Kirby I think our LB position is stacked. And you never know, the president may come back for his senior year. Yes he's a daddy but I think the Don will help him see the much bigger contract he could get after next year.

Young Jizzle... Can't wait to see him in action... Thug Motivation 101 all over again "Yeeeeeeaaaah"

He definitely has the size and athleticism to get some early PT. I hope his football IQ is very high as well. He's gonna be a beast.

His exact words were Yea I'll be there in January, bringin the swag back to the U! He's gonna talk **** AND hit stick! That's what I'm ready to see again, players making big plays and showing out again. How many times did James Wilder flex at our sidelines? Made me sick. Juwon and Co gonna shut that ish down. Kid had 25 tackles in one game on OCT 25. He's got the killer instict.

If DP comes back I think we have a solid group of LB's next year, grace, figs, and Kirby just need some time to develop: Is jawand blue still around? I was really excited about him when he signed but haven't heard of him since... i know hes only a rs fresh but we really need him to step up next year

I think so....
It still wont be great but it will definitely be an improvement. One step at a time.

juwon young getting in as an ee is huge. it will help with strength and conditioning and knowing the system.

I've heard he is a very hard worker and the staff loves him. I expect him to contribute next season for sure. He certainly looks the part as well.

"YOU THINK IT'S A GAME"!?!?!??

I think everyone here is overstating the impact of a freshman linebacker in our D. He will be great for quality depth and should play meaningful time with his skills, but getting 52 back is the biggest thing for our LB corps. It gives us a proven senior leader at LB and will help with the development of these younger guys. Just look at how Figs is being used this year.

If Perryman leaves our most senior LBs with experience are Armbrister, Kirby and McCord.

We are bringing in some flat out studs at LB. If DP stays next year we will be scary good there as long as development and strength continues.

Young and Owens are my favorite recruits in this class. LB is a huge area of need and getting both of these studs in early is priceless. I see both of these guys seeing the field from day one.

Both of these guys will come in 6-3 230 and after Utogh they can be 235-240 WOW. As true freshmen these guys will be the size of NFL LB's. I love this LB crop in this class, the future is very bright at LB very bright.

They'll come in big, but can they earn the coaching staff's trust?

We have players who have physically more gifted players behind them (Highsmith-Carter, Thurston-Figs, Gaines-Kirby, Clements-Gus) that don't get P.T. early because they haven't earned the trust of the staff to put them on the field.

Physically, we have players waiting in the wings, they just need to get the mental game right. That'll be key for Owens and Young. Getting in early, learning the playbook and earning the coaches' trust so they can see the field before week 8.

We desperately need some immediate impact types at LB. Gaines and Cornelius just aren't the difference makers that we need. I keep waiting on Kirby to make an impact, hopefully next season. I also have high hopes for Grace.

People are sleeping on J. Grace just because he's not starting as a true freshman. Kid is going to be a good one.

i think grace will be all conference at least and figs will be a very good player next year.
