he balled there the year before mario had him. which got him into the heisman picture. under mario he was promptly removed from heisman talks. he wanted to leave his junior year but his season was so bad he had to stay. his senior year wasn't much better at the time it ended he wasn't even talked about as a 1st rounder. till combine ect he was mocked in the 2-3rd rounds. after combine he was a 1st again.
Okay you’re exaggerating. One I never said Mario made him. I said he balled. Two, you’re lying. It was surprised to everyone when he announced that he was returning for his senior year. He was a lock to go 1st round. Kipper had him as the 6th best prospect and McShay had him at 20. At no point was he ever going to drop out the 1st round. Until his junior year he never played in more than 8 games, even that year he was battling injuries towards the end. Mario offense was super conservative, but it didn’t hurt Herbert’s draft status. Just read the link below. I mean the title said, “top qb prospect return for senior season.” What are you lying about?
Top QB prospect Herbert to return to Ducks in '19
Ducks quarterback Justin Herbert, who was ranked No. 6 overall on the latest Big Board by ESPN NFL draft analyst Mel Kiper, will return for his senior season in 2019.
