Have to wonder if Mario reached out at some point to J Herb (a top 3 QB of his generation) and asked “What was it that made you take the next step?”

Some, not all thought he was good. Not great. Kids are gonna look up to him for the next decade. MC saw him every single day.

The knowledge to pour into this QB room is/has been set up to be something special.

I read some crazy stat that the Oregon offense had Justin Herbert throwing a screen pass on 25% of his passing plays his senior year.
Was alot of quick game and rpo’s, thats why people bash mario for holding herbert back. He showed his talent but was heavily under used due to that scheme and the talent surrounding him but it did end up a successful season and herbert was the 6th pick. If mario wants to win it all at some point he has to allow the offense to be explosive down field thats the way cfb is today

IF/When Mario has the WRs/TEs to complement the QB, he will. Like during is tenure at Alabama.

We need to go back to our roots, a true POCKET PASSER like the old . Tvd is a great start and keep it like that. No more midgets at center. I'm not downing king but come on.

He wasn’t trash at UO. He balled there but the offense was conservative
he balled there the year before mario had him. which got him into the heisman picture. under mario he was promptly removed from heisman talks. he wanted to leave his junior year but his season was so bad he had to stay. his senior year wasn't much better at the time it ended he wasn't even talked about as a 1st rounder. till combine ect he was mocked in the 2-3rd rounds. after combine he was a 1st again.
