Justin Fuente next UM coach?

Oh look...another NJ Coal-Shoveler gets top billing in the Miami Herald.

Jersey Mike leads the nation with 16 field goals, but UM will also need touchdowns to beat Clemson

Badgley, a 5-11, 180-pound COAL SHOVELER from Summit, N.J., is averaging 2.67 field goals a game and has hit 16 of 19 attempts for an 84.2-percent accuracy rate.

I love how some of yall cite a coach losing to Nick Saban as a negative ... As if it's an indictment on that coach to lose to a guy who's won 4 national titles in the past 12 years. LOL

What had TAMU done before Sumlin got there?

He leads the nation because our red zone offense is **** ******* poor which is a direct result of us not being able to run between the tackles.

Awsi Dooger's on to something, Ohio has a track record of producing good to great coaches...Woody Hayes, the Harbaughs,Meyer,Paul Brown,Tressel,etc..
And I think that whole "transition to South Florida" thing is over-rated, who the **** knew who McElwain was before He pistol whooped Golden for Callaway,Cronkrite, & Scarlett.
Kids nowadays ain't dumb, it's nothing for em' to Google or YT a coach to find out who He is, and what He runs...if that checks out, all the new HC has to do is finish the deal in the living room.

Agree to disagree.

And I'm willing to bet each of those recruits knew McElwain was the OC for Alabama, and that he had significant familiarity with recruiting Florida before he got the job.

As a coal shoveler he is expected to grab that shovel, work till he falls **** near dead, and don't say a **** word about his conditions.

Yes, above Fuente. I like Fuente but I'm not convinced he isn't a cupcake offensive type. Those guys get swamped when asked to run the table or close to it. I would cringe, for example, to have a Sumlin type as head coach. Not physical enough. When Texas A&M upset Alabama a few years ago with Manziel it was somewhat similar to Mississippi defeating Alabama this season. The run of play favored Alabama but Manziel created one big play after another. Now that Sumlin can't rely on that stuff to bail him out, Alabama dominates the line of scrimmage and wins handily every time they play.

I like how you move the goalposts to support this argument.
