That is the correct question. I would guess that Miami never offered and that Va Tech jumped fast. Personally, I think Fuente will be a bust at Va Tech and they will have lost time and wasted a lot of money. Also, the fact that they made the move so quickly, before Beamer was even gone, tells me this is has been in the works for months. Beamer didn't retire, he was forced out, clear as day.

I seriously doubt he had 12 offers on the table....12 teams may have contacted him, but I don't think there were 12 contracts ready for Fuente to sign

Nobody hates the reality our situation any worse than me, but shooting down a pretty crafty Fuente/Foster attempt is just flat out screaming insecurity.

I would love to see how that pair would do in South FLA....big difference from not wanting Fuente by himself choosing his own DC.
