That's literally the definition of a swiss-army knife; being able to play multiple positions.
Doesn't matter where you draft a player. What matters is how you utilize said player. Earl Thomas was drafted in the top 15 and is still one of the better safeties in the league.

Great FS. Maybe you just advertised him as such and expected him to excel at every position.

Seriously what can we offer the kid right now? A 13-12 record over the last two years. When was the last time we had a LB drafted in the 1st round? When was the last time we had a **** All American? If he wants to stay close to home go to USC. If he wants to be on a dominant team go to Clemson. If he wants the best facilities and deepest pockets go to Oregon. Early playing time is a joke he will play early wherever he goes. Again, what is our selling point to this kid?

Eh I went to the Clemson GT game with a few buddies while on our drive up to school and I would hardly classify those girls as "smokeshows"

Preaching to the choir. Even in our best years (relatively), this would be a long shot. We do this every year and our staff continues to fall for it smh

How many OOS top 10 players have we landed in the last 20 years? Maybe 4? We haven't done it since 2010 with Henderson. It's rare. It's a long shot. Get out of your feelings. History is not on our side.

I just saw that Mario is getting the last in home today before he starts his OV at USC ..... That's been real quiet all week. Oregon staff was in California at the beginning of the week. Guess they saved him for last...
