I think people forget that the national champion last year didn’t play for their conference championship game, oh yeah, they went 10-2 also. Losing a game as a double digit favorite thrown in there too.

Not saying that’s Miami this year!!! Just food for thought

You are proof we have the dumbest fan base in America. I bet Oklahoma and Texas think they’re gonna go 10 and two just like they should believe that but this fan base assumes that we’re losing two of our next three just to prove a point that they’re right about who the head coach is because they lost two games to teams that the fan base deems inferior. It would be so much better we lost to FSU Florida Notre Dame, right? Some of you people are absolutely insufferable. Should we have lost to SMU or Louisville of course not but it happened just like every conference loss around the country happens but after they happen, you immediately start rooting for the programs demise to prove a point I don’t understand most of you people.

We do ourselves absolutely no favors playing like we have the 132nd ranked offense. We let too many inferior opponents hang around and rely on our defense to win 21-20 type games.

The only thing we can try to do is win out but that is about as likely as our playoff chances of ~8%

There is nothing you or the committee can say that is going to convince me that Texas belongs in the playoffs. They lost to the ******* gators. Their only good win is against Oklahoma without their starting quarterback. You want to keep Miami out? Ok but there better be 12 legit better teams ahead of them and Texas isn’t even close to being one of them

We’ve struggled against the last 4 teams we played. Yes we struggled against Stanford for half the game as we did against Syracuse. Two teams that literally have G5 talent.

This week we play NC State who just played an inspired game and put up a ton of points against GT, playing a full 4 quarters and knocked off a ranked team. If we sleepwalk through the first half, and I’ve seen nothing over these last 4 games to make me think we won’t, we will lose this one.

VT on the road. They are a terrible team. We should be able to beat them even if we sleepwalk.

Pitt. Narduzzi will have them ready. If we have nothing to play for that game is a loss.

The bowl game with opt outs will most likely be another loss because this offense does nothing to set up success if they don’t have a huge talent gap (see the gameplan all season).

So yes, I think if we come out flat Saturday and lose we will end up losing 2 more and finish out 8-5.

Do I hope for that? No. I hope we come out, with that ND effort, and send a message. Send a message to Bailey that he is wasting his talents at NCS and he should come home for 2 years. Send a message to the committee that the last 4 weeks have been an abberation and the real Miami is what they saw week 1-4.

The Canes are still figuring out who they are on offense. The young players like Toney, Josh more, Dylan upshaw and Gerard Pringle are ready to contribute. If Dawson can continue to open up his playbook for these young playmakers, we can be an explosive offense again

This is a **** good point man. ND didn't play in a conference and lost at home as a double digit favorite to NIU. Their best wins were against Army and Navy.

Looking at it that way, we definitely have a chance.

The only issue is that the committee doesn't apply their reasoning or standards to each team equally.

Pitt game will come down to which caveman coach wants to put the personal out-tuff and out-fizical stuff to the side and wants to just call an offense that wants to score a lot of points

They're now 11th in the country in scoring. The Nard Dog might be a mutant, but they're scoring a lot of points.

There’s a thing with Narduzzi and Mario though and it’s funny to watch

My guess is we lose that game because Narduzzi will do what Mario won’t but we will see

Like last year Mario might be a caveman but we leaned into the offense I think Narduzzi right now is just trusting their team more

Is that justified? Because of QB play and whatnot? Sure I suppose so. Just feels like if we are gonna beat Pitt in that one we just gotta legit get out of our own way

These Stanford and Syracuse games turning on big plays by the defense is just…leaves me at a loss really

it would be a problem in the ACC title game or the playoffs but I'm not sure we have to worry about that

Have you seen Pitt's offense lately with their freshman QB? We need to be better on offense to beat pitt and maybe even NC state.

I'll find a clip for you, but basically they asked him if the ND game was a must win, and he said I don't care if we lose by 100, it's not an ACC game so basically it doesn't matter. Legit.

I appreciated the comment because he’s 100% correct. In this cfb climate that Notre dame game is a blank slate.

There’s no doubt we are everyone’s Super Bowl even when we were down people loved to kick us

You’ve said this a million times so no need to tell you what you already know but I’m fine with having some in conference struggles from time to time. Everyone does. These long lulls where it feels half the team is out of sync is just brutal though

I mean it isn't though. Say they beat ND and US and make the ACC CG and lose.... That win would be pretty important for their CFP chances. If Pitt beats ND, GTech, and Us they probably would legit be in the CFP regardless of result in champ game id think.
