Telling a coach you're trying to court which position coaches he can and cannot hire is micromanaging. Especially when it is extremely obvious said head coach will be doing most of the coaching at that position. Y'all seem to forget the real QB coach was Richt Sr.

I'm not sure if you've ever worked in a big corporation, but that's not how it works.

It's not micromanaging. It's protecting your brand, staff integrity, and product. Again, huge delta between dictating an entire staff or even part of your staff and saying your kid can't have a job at a storied program that he's not qualified for. He had a whopping 2 years of work experience when we hired him.

Find me a CEO of a Fortune 500 who gave their 25 yr old kid with no experience a VP title out the gate? They wouldn't because they need someone in that position to lead a function and provide value, not to mention the board would look at them like they were complete idiots.
