Just me, or CFB >>>> NFL?

I enjoy watching CFB more than the NFL. The NFL is too robotic. From time slots to the O & D. It's the same thing over and over, but with minor tweaks.

In CFB I can watch 6 games and see 12 different offenses and defenses, and coaches making idiotic mistakes. Never a dull moment.

I also enjoy not having to watch or hear about:
Taylor Swift - Travis Kelce
Draftkings or Fanduel
Dumb kickoffs
nah. i started last sunday with the fins colts and ended w ravens bills. those are not the same sport

I’ve always tend to like cfb more with what’s always at risk and player storylines. Once in awhile there are a few games like the bills and ravens that make it electric.

NFL stopped being fun a long time ago. It's the rule changes. They took what was a perfect game in the mid-80's and found every way possible to pussify and ruin it. It's pretty much illegal to play defense anymore, there's no more big hits, and quarterbacks are babied and protected way too much. Honestly the modern NFL isn't even watchable to me. It's not the same sport I grew up with.

It was a great sport until women with pink hair and corporate people ruined it.

Come to think of it, the same way they ruined football is the way they ruined basketball. I don't even watch basketball at all anymore.

In some towns areas like around central to South Florida, pro sports are much more prevalent. Hence the reason people dont show up to Canes games when we win 6,7,8 games.

But you get around the panhandle and north of there (in the southeast region) college football is like church on Sunday. If you dont show up, youre judged.

I don't watch much NFL anymore but that's because the Dolphins are excruciating to watch and I don't really do fantasy anymore.

CFB is more entertaining week-in-week out.
So many match ups and rivalries. NFL only gets exciting after about Thanksgiving.

I enjoyed watching NC State vs Wake more than the GB game on Thursday . I personally think it’s more enjoyable. But that’s just me

The advantage college football has over other college sports is that every NFL player (with extremely rare exceptions) plays college football.

So you see all the best players in that age group. They may be spread out, but they are there.

The individual game is much more important in CFB. This game coming up with Florida is a bigger game than any game in the NFL. A team can go 9-8 and make the playoffs, go 7-5 and you play a bowl game in NY that no one watches or really cares about

College football for many reasons:

1) Creativity/variety in offensive and defensive systems. Prevents the viewing experience from becoming stale and repetitive.

2) Atmosphere. Nothing better than a top 10 ranked matchup. Those stadiums are pure pandemonium. Very few NFL fan bases can generate similar enthusiasm. And I say that as Bills fan.

3) David vs. Goliath games. One of the reasons March Madness is awesome is because everyone likes to see the 14 seed upset the 3 seed. Last year, for instance, you had Vanderbilt take down Bama. That was insanity. You don’t get that type of vibe in the NFL.

4) Imperfection. They are college kids. They make mistakes, which makes each game far more entertaining. You can’t predict how teams/players will perform week to week.

5) The stakes. Even with the expanded playoff, almost every game matters. You can’t drop more than two and hope to make the playoff. Meanwhile, on the other hand, you got teams with 8-8 records sneaking into the NFL playoffs. This dynamic, personally, makes it hard for me to get invested. If you lose, there is always next week. College generates that “win or else” mentality amongst the fanbase. The result: a level of intensity that is through the roof.
