Just How Bad Were We? 10 Horrifying Stats Diaz Will Have To Overcome in 2019 (A comprehensive look)....

You still don't know what cherry picking is I guess. I'm not blaming anything on the offense. I believe Miami has fielded a top defense the last three years b/c all the advanced metrics points to that.

You on the other hand want to try and refute that evidence by breaking down how the defenses performs by quarter? And points per quarter no less...
Sorry this is completely useless information as the sample is too small to draw any reliable conclusion from.

The evidence presented here is far more reliable than the narrative you're cooking up. So I will go this. You can believe what you want though.

Well you didnt provide any links to your so called stats sooooooo prove it.

Comical. Which one? Get a calculator and visit stats.ncaa.org and I'll help you on what buttons to press.

Example,...we gained 222 1st downs in 13 games. Divide 222 by 13,...that ='s 17.08, et. al.

Everything is easily provable,....you're just a little startled on how wrong you were about our time of possession and how abysmal it was in our 6 losses. Yes,...it was just that bad,...compared to the rest of the nation!

Most posters here think threads like this are a waste of space because they don't need all these **** numbers to prove what we just witnessed for 3+ months.

But keep ignoring those BC Wisconsin(twice) Toledo(twice)......just keep ignoring those.

Did we even play a top 40 offense all year...... keep pulling the overrated stats against the JV level competition we played.

Agree to disagree.

Meanwhile BC just went for another 75 yard drive

All it takes is a pair of eyes to see that the defense was not only among the best in the nation but severely hampered by an offense that not only couldn't score or even maintain time of possession but would constantly turn the ball over in their own territory. When the offense didn't turn the ball over, the punting was so pathetic that opponents would often start near midfield or in Miami territory.

It's unrealistic to expect a defense to be able to completely shut down an opponent (especially in today's offensive football) with an offense that does nothing at all to help out. I mean how many times can you ask your defensive players to completely bail out the offense that continues to put them in horrible situations?

If the offense was even AVERAGE, this team plays in the conference championship game and a new year's day bowl game. Instead the offense was 105th in the nation and they went 7-6.
