Just casually watching

USC and LSU were probably the last with us who held on to the "pro style bro" offense..

USC went full on air raid where you can plug and play any qb and light up scoreboards..

LSU which was definition of 3 yrds and cloud of dust offense, got tired of not even scoring against Bama and now Joe Brady has them boys wide open offense lighting up scoreboards..

Meanwhile in miami, we basically throwaway plays anytime we bring #81 on field to play fullback and just waste a down. Dam near everytime we had a play of 10+ yards Enos wanted to run i formation and 7 step drop into a negative play.. We struggle to put 25 pts on like a 2 win team..

The game has changed and Diaz lied when he said we would be cutting edge offense in his introduction. Jarren would KILL in air raid
One of these days, Miami will run a 21st century offense

I see that, and I know our weak points, but none of that matters in a game like this. They simply aren't good enough to exploit our weaknesses unless we let them.

Did you see how many times a UNC receiver got behind our D and their QB just missed? Like a lot of times. That's not talent, that's effort.

I think it’s a combo of both, honestly. On one hand, there’s a certain level of let down that plagues this team, but on the other hand, I don’t know if our guys are as talented as we have made them.

Ivey, low 4 star
Blades, 4 star
Knowles, Low 3 star
Bandy, 4 star
Finley, 3 star
Carter, 3 star
Hall, 4 star

3/7 were considered top 300 players in the nation. I mean, should we out talent most of the teams we play, regardless? Absolutely....I’m just saying maybe we hype up our guys a little too much. We should leave the word “elite” and phrase “grossly underrated” at home for a while w/ our 3 star recruits

Enos said he run a spread coast but he's really running a pure west coast offense.. There's nothing spread about his scheme. He simply added a few rpo's and jet sweep to his scheme. We left too many points on board.

God damnit. We're more talented than UNC. There's just no getting around that. I'm so disappointed that you actually took a minute to write that out. So what? So we average 3.7 stars and they average what? 3.2? Doesn't matter, we've got more talent. We've got enough talent that you and I shouldn't have this conversation until the fsu game. There's no reason to discuss it before that. None.

And they don't have some super-star coaching staff either. Did whoever their OC is do anything amazing tonight? No, he did not. But we blew a lot of plays, that's a thing that happened. We just didn't man up and handle our sht. When it was time to go we let them run and pass all over us and decided we couldn't move the ball. Not because the plays were wrong, but because we're soft.

Bro; u know I know we should’ve won that game. I’m just cautioning and tempering our expectations of our players. U & I both know we use the words elite for every dang player on this roster.

We have some will to win issues, fa sho

People that blame the offense for this loss have a lot of learning to do.

It’s not just about the offense in tonight’s game. It’s about preparation. It’s about the fact that our system does not put us in the best position to achieve. The margin for error in these systems is higher. We have to do everything right just to scrap out a FG? There is a mentality that comes with it. There is a lack of prep and adjustment that we have that other staffs don’t. That’s my point from the OP - I’m just drunk and mad but **** why do we have to scrap and claw and have 11 jr and sr starters but USC can roll their lame duck coach and a high powered offense out against a well coached Stanford team and knock their **** off with more limitations than we have?

The offense ***n sucks.... The defense **** all in their pants in the 1st qtr.... The ***tarded kicker is still blowing kicks.. All around **** sucking fest tonight..

If you want to say we don't have elite players, I'm 100% with you. Dudes around here say that sht about everybody and it's mostly BS. I'm just saying, this isn't uf or fsu we're talking about. We get the players they wish they could talk to.

They play with a chip on their shoulder, we play like we expect to win and just showed up to accept a trophy.

LOL YUP. THIS BOARD IS NUTS. MARYLAND HANGS 60 ON CUSE TODAY AND CIS WAS NOT IMPRESSED. WE HANG 25 ON UNC AND PEOPLE ARE THROWING A PARADE.

“But we had a bunch of yards!!!! Jarren threw for 300 bro!!!!”

Apparently points and wins don’t matter to some folks on here.

We're simply too talented for any of our deficiencies to matter against UNC.

At some point, don't you start to think it's the whole program more than the OC? Think about what we saw last year and how we all said if Richt just did this or that we'd win 10. Seems to me Enos is doing enough of what we wanted, yet here we are. I honestly think it's about "culture", not coordinators.

We don't have the culture or players or whatever that makes you will yourself to victory. That sounds silly, but I think it's true. We've got the talent. We've got the coaches (at very least they're as good as the other second tier teams). The coaches and talent say the right kinds of things, but at some level we're just soft. At some point you make a play and win the game or you don't. In 2017 we made those plays. Now we don't.

We've been in position to win the first two games and haven't. We can say uf is technically more talented, so maybe that's not a huge deal? But UNC? They just played better and wanted it more.

We just don't want it bad enough.

Good posts on both accounts.

What we are witnessing is the stench of loserdom and pressure busting pipes.

It’s Emotional/psychological rot that comes from the top.

Manny is not ready right now.

When you are trying to revamp a fallen program like ours, you have to get everything right. Small chinks in the armor lead to big wounds in the flesh.

You first create a culture of accountability and hard work.

I think we are doing that. The next step is where so many coaches go wrong. You have to run the actual on field systems in a way that builds players confidence and DON’T F’UCK UP THE MOMENTUM WITH STUPID ****.

We are lamenting a loss to a much less talented team because Mack Brown is doing that.

We have outrecruited UNC by leaps and bounds. Couldn’t tell by the way it looked on the field. The players are hesitant and tight. They are trying not to make mistakes and thinking instead of cutting loose and playing ball. This is why our fast players look slow.

Our coaching strategies are off and there are concerns about the leadership of position coaches and coordinators.

Our schemes don’t fit our talent well on both sides of the ball and players aren’t executing, creating a psychological snowball effect.

We don’t have room for this type of error. We look way better in shotgun, but don’t run it enough. We blitzed on 4th and 17 and gave up the first. Hill was unblockable on pass downs at vt. Where is he now? Special teams a mess for three years in a row?

This can be fixed. The only question is will it be fixed? It’s still early. However the thing that causes doubt to creep in is that the issues that sunk previous regimes showed up early, too.

Let us pray.

How are you coming up with this? If you wan't to go with how everybody played, yeah they were better at a bunch of positions. That doesn't mean they have more talent.

By that logic, UL-M is more talented than fsu. Yeah, they played better and deserved to win the game, but they aren't more talented. They just aren't, and neither is UNC.

They played better than we did, and that's what I've been saying, but they aren't better players. They don't have the physical gifts our players have. They aren't as fast or strong or big. What they are is more motivated and stronger willed.
