Just a year ago at this time....

Honestly bought a ticket for this game just to see nkosi air it out and Cam’ron to break a few runs ... but honestly I really am done spending money for this university ... last ticket I bought was to unc and I was skeptical but now I’m officially done

Read an article that they’re practically comfortable with him til the end of 19’ and I’m sure he won’t be fired until 2020

It’s dark times indeed ... I’m sure this 2019 class will be barren but the only way to make a change is to not pay money for this product and fly the banners.

So are you still going on Saturday?

I really don’t think so my dad got us pretty good tickets but I’m talking him out of it .

when I read a quote that the BoT is no where near as mad as they were with Golden I’m almost threw up. The thing is they already have their pockets full from this season from practically selling out season tickets. I’m sure when they don’t have any revenue they will make changes ... but it will be too little too late imo

gotcha, perfectly understood...

Well said. I will watch because that’s what I do but **** it’s gettjng more depressing every week.

83, just a question, if you are a season ticket holder, are you renewing for next season?

Personally, Im not planning to go to any more games till I see some real, significant changes. The Malice in Dallas vs LSU was enough for me...

Well said.

Not 83, but I'm a season ticket holder, multiple sports.

I'm renewing, I always do. For one, it's my thing.

The other, while they like us to be happy, we significantly overestimate our influence.

I've been around UM on all sides of this stuff, and I know enough people there.

If you can't stand it, don't go. If you think you're being heard, you won't be. UM listens to people who are in the stands and their pockets.

Do you need one?

I’m good. But with all the *****ing and moaning in this thread, one could make a killing with a box of Tampax for sale here...

Look, this season - and maybe the argument can be made that Richt’s entire tenure - has been an utter disaster. I’m all for making the necessary changes to right this ship - OC, OL coach, new head coach whatever...

With that said, please spare us all this whole “we’re sooo cursed” or “if you buy a t-shirt, you’re part of the problem” or “we deserve better” or “no one cares about this U but the fans” or “I’m not going to another game until I get what I want” or “this program is dead” bullsh1t.

Sometimes this fan base is as entitled as the new generation of players they lambaste on a regular basis.

honestly, you're post right here is the whiniest thing on this thread. Cue Alanis, because the irony is striking

Hahaha. I like you k9, always enjoyed your posts or listening to you on the pod. You’re jokes are a little corny sometimes, but coming from someone of the same generation, I appreciate the witty cultural references.

I’m as frustrated as anyone here...it’s been a long period of mediocrity

Acento, we're Gucci( as the kids say) LOL. But seriously, this is a UM football message board, what else is really supposed to be discussed at this point?

But hey, 'thousands spoons when all you neeeeed is a knife'

Sorry, couldn't resist

I made a financial commitment to attend 3 games this season. UNC, FSU and BC. This is no easy or inexpensive chore when you live in NorCal.

If Mark Richt is still calling plays next year, I won't attend a single game.

But they'll call you a fairweather fan, SMH. The investment we all make for this **** has killed us all this year. Whether that is money, or just time, this season has been such a mess since FSU, it is almost impossible to comprehend.

Been a Cane since 1966 K9. I'll be the first to admit that I was cautiously optimistic when Richt was hired. After all the program had been through the last 15 years or so, I was hopeful, that if nothing else, Richt would bring some stability and credibility back to Coral Gables.

Attended many games in the 70's and 80's, and now that I reside more than 900 miles from the 305 - where I was born and raised - I try to attend 2 or 3 away games a year. That won't change anytime soon because I love the game, the game experience, and who the **** else I'm going to root for - lol!

I was keenly aware of Richt's history, both as an assistant and HC. Thus the cautious part of my optimism. I'm not as fatalistic as some, but I'm also not walking around with blinders on either. Obviously, change needs to happen ASAP. I'm going to try and enjoy the remaining 2 games, pull for my Canes because I want the players to be successful, and reserve judgement until the necessary change happens - or doesn't.

BTW, I appreciate your insight and posts.

423, I hear ya, I guess to a certain degree we are all like that famous line in 'the Godfather':

'Eeeeevverytime I think I'm out, they puullll me back in!!!"

K9 I feel man the question I have is how much worst does it get where is rock bottom under this staff. At least with golden we hit rock bottom end of the third year/ start of the fourth but right now I have a feeling this is going to get worse.
Rock bottom is having 8 Losing seasons in a row,, spread through 5 coaches.
We are far from rock bottom.

Season 1970 thru 1977..

Miami was #2 in the country, looking ahead to a Pitt game to finish what we all assumed would be an undefeated regular season and an ACC showdown with Clemson. More than that, Miami was THE hot program. 'the U" was back and it was glorious.

And then,... it all fell apart like a Bernie Madoff ponzi scheme(although his run was a lot longer, admittedly)

It was all a dream, we used to read Word Up! Magazine

Fast forward a year later and honestly, as someone who has followed this program religiously as a subway alum(from Los Angeles) who has developed friendships with some of you guys on here, former players and others associated with the program and been through the highs and lows(which I'm good with, that's part of being a fan), I can honestly say, I've never been this down on the program or this disheartened.

Yeah, this is worse than 97. Anyone with any intelligence knew what Paul Hilton Davis was dealing with those early years. But what's Richt's excuse? I'm being dead serious, while he's not the worse coach I've seen at Miami, this single season in 2018 is the worst job of managing and coaching a program I have ever seen at UM. And it's not even close

Fellas, as I've told you before, welcome to 'Richtbation' a form of 'the death penalty' which has nothing to do with the NCAA. Till he's gone, UM is U Mediocre. This guy is more shot than Muhammad Ali in the Bahamas vs Trevor Berbick. It is what it is. And I'm not sure shuttling in a few new coaches and coordinators will really be anything more than shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic after the iceberg. We've seen this song and dance with Coker prior to the 2006 season(his last at Coral Gables, BTW)

As for Jeff Thomas, if any of you watched the documentary on his high school('89 Blocks') you knew he might be an issue. I was told by a good source he was thinking about transferring after last season. So this shouldn't be all that stunning to anyone. But you know what, they should've known what they were getting into and quite frankly, I'm good with Thomas. Guy could flat out ball, he's one of the very few reasons I still looked forward to Miami games this season(yeah, I'm a *********). I don't necessarily condone his attitude but I know this, any of us in his Adidas would've been frustrated to playing in this garbage system. I will never hold any ill will towards this young man, I'll be looking forward to seeing him at the next level. This program and Richt could've helped him grow up, instead, they let this kid become a problem and ran him out.

And yeah, he's not the only one contemplating getting outta here. This has been festering for awhile I've been told. This will be a VERY interesting off-season.

Folks, we are in the abyss.

Anyways, enjoy your Thanksgiving...

And oh.... Beat Pitt!!

Couldn’t have said it better!

I will not attend a game until change is made, just turned down free tickets to Saturday’s game. I feel for the kids as well, but they going to play like **** anyways because the guy at wh top.
