Jurich

You have to understand that the world of academia in the 21st century values diversity, inclusion and equity far more than employing the most qualified.
They don't value those things at all. All institutions, whether it be educational, corporate, public etc only claim to value those things to the degree that they can make money from them, or appear to be 'in compliance,' or ahead of their competition. There's profit in all of those liberal value buzzwords. It has nothing to do with the values themselves.

Don't want to get political on this board. But its far more than about money.

Rick Pitino and his undefeated Iona squad beat #10 Bama a couple days ago. How about them apples
imagine jurich coming in, firing manny, hiring lane, hiring pitino...i don't give a fuqq that pitino is old, he's still an elite coach and recruiter. miami basketball would be fun to watch again, i'll tell you that much

First off, if it is nunez, lol at him being Zo’s assistant. Gtfooh. Núñez is very solid and cut his teeth in the AD at lsu…was there for 13 years and responsible for a lot of the facility upgrades. Seems like a good candidate to me!
So he’s from a non football school and a good fundraiser… sounds familiar. Just go hire Brian White and call it a day.

conspiracy theory: starting to think D$ was doing the bidding for Zo with that tweet. blaming the search firm for Jurich when it's really Zo pulling strings BTS trying to secure the job for himself and his crony.

@DiegoCane looks like you lost buddy. I didn’t even know that.

Here’s Nunez’s back ground at LSU

For 14 years, starting in 2003, Nuñez served in a variety of high-level administrative capacities at LSU, one of the nation’s top athletic departments. He also has served as the department’s liaison with LSU Sports Properties, the Tiger Athletic Foundation and University Licensing and Brand Management.

While he held seven positions and titles at LSU, the department continually flourished. Under his guidance, LSU experienced of $400 million in facility renovations and construction, and Nuñez led the renegotiations of a 10-year multi-media rights agreement with Outfront Media Sports.

Additionally, he oversaw the planning and management of the LSU Athletics Strategic Plan, Marketing and Promotions, Athletic Communications, Social and Digital Media, Creative Services, Video/Network Broadcast Services and all capital projects.

While he has made his mark collegiately at LSU, Nuñez began his career as a collegiate administrator at Vanderbilt University, where he was the Director of Game and Event Management. Additionally, he assisted in construction and planning of numerous facility upgrades.

Who hired the search firm? Who runs for the search firm? Who is buddy buddy with the search firm.

You guys it's all politics. Scratch my back, I scratch your back. We hire our buddies, you donate some money, we all get rich.

Anyone who thinks Manny Sr and his cronies aren't behind all of this really needs to open their eyes.

Frankly I am even a little shocked Blake was let go. However sometime there has to be a sacrificial lamb.

SIAP: "Threatening to resign" sounds a bit unprofessional, but it seems Turnkey is quite the legit professional reputable enterprise:

They became a de facto subsidiary of ZRG Search just this year, but have been in business, doing nicely, for over 25 years.

...makes one wonder if perhaps their reported "stance" (on Jurich) was imposed on them by their new parent company. In any event, they don't seem like some recent johnny-come-lately that is hungering for business, or corruptly tied to an individual who may have some vested interest in UM athletics.

So after reading this entire thread, which is essentially 33 pages of nothing, I’m pretty sure Cribby, SWFL and Brooklyn are having a PM exchange laughing at all of us. If only some of the dumb asses on this site didn’t run them off.
Ain’t nobody running off Dan, he is a man’s man

NCAA still open, not sure on FBI though. That's why I asked.

I understand the NCAA investigation being sloooow, that is how they operate. Very unusual for there to be so little progress on an FBI case, which makes me think it has been closed/disposed.
Given our last history with the NCAA you know if we were to hire Jurich their investigation would miraculously speed up.

Still think too risky and there are other qualified candidates. Also makes me wonder why Jurich hasn't landed elsewhere since Louisville.
