Jurich

why can't we have nice things man...god **** it. Jurich + Kiffin would be awesome. Then Jurich proceeds to fire Larranaga after this year, Gino soon after (hopefully) and hires two studs for basketball and baseball. We'd be hummin...and Jurich can make it happen.

I didn't watch it all. the key thing he did say though was Zo interviewed with the firm on Wednesday and dude said he knocked it out of the park. he went on to say that another "Miami guy" interviewed with the firm on Friday and that guy will potentially be Zo's assistant.
he said the Friday interview was Eddie Nuñez.

😳🔫

So after reading this entire thread, which is essentially 33 pages of nothing, I’m pretty sure Cribby, SWFL and Brooklyn are having a PM exchange laughing at all of us. If only some of the dumb asses on this site didn’t run them off.
This. We can’t have good things. We don’t deserve those guys, either.

Quick glance at his resume, I’m assuming this is guy from Miami who’s at New Mexico now. It’s hard to read too much into his hires because the athletics there aren’t that great. I’m not a fan of his Richard Pitino hire for basketball. Looks like he “raised” a ton of money at LSU. Played basketball under Billy Donovan. Pretty meh hire if he’s actually the guy.

They’re grown men. GOH with people running them off.

Makes me wonder if the admin is all CAP and not about making Miami great again it’s like they like being 7-5 or 8-4 every year

if Zo is hired that's going to say a lot about the administration. blew a few hundred thousand just to turn around and hire someone in-house that you already knew about.
Not really. Its called doing due diligence to ensure for a small sum they get an outside perspective (not just perspective from rich boosters, biased BOT members, and fans who know **** about what an AD does) make a solid hire and dont potentially miss out on a much bigger/better fish. You all love to just criticize literally anything UM does these days. And if it helps us land Zo (which is what 90%+ of this board wanted before they heard of some guy named jurich) then it should still be a viewed as a huge win

Open NCAA investigation and FBI? I think that's a big problem, don't you?

NCAA still open, not sure on FBI though. That's why I asked.

I understand the NCAA investigation being sloooow, that is how they operate. Very unusual for there to be so little progress on an FBI case, which makes me think it has been closed/disposed.

wrong...90% of this board didn't want Zo...some wanted...with most saying he'd be better suited in an advisory role because he has zero experience as a college athletics director. also wrong about you assuming most of us just heard of this "some guy named jurich" lmao. we ain't idiots homie...most educated college football fans on this board knew about jurich and we've been promoting him since we heard blake was on the hot seat. he's not some unknown commodity...he was widely regarded during his time with louisville as one of the best, if not THE best, AD's in the country.

us on the board, me included, just call out the BS this administration spews out as needed and it's necessary more often than not.

who is a bigger fish than jurich, honestly, other than maybe radakovich from clemson? i'd still lean jurich in that case because that man is a straight savage and literally built louisville athletics into what it is today (and they were much more elite in their big three sports during his tenure than obviously at the current moment). he's not only a winner to his core, but he is an ELITE fundraiser...like an actual one, not a glorified droopy eyed ****** ticket salesman a la Blake James.

don't make assumptions homie...and stop getting butt hurt when we call out this faqqoty, spineless, ***** *** administration.

I really just don't get why these Dumbasses in our BOT can't come together with the common desire to have a national championship caliber Athletic Program.
Seriously I get a lot of BOT members are people who don't care about athletics, but then shouldn't they just allow the ones that do care about athletics to make the decisions? And for the BOT members who do care about athletics I really don't get what is so ******* complicated about this. You hire the best ******* candidate at AD + HCs you can. This is so simple. Now if this were a case of the BOT fighting between two TOP candidates, that would actually make sense.. But this is a case of dumbasses in the BOT fighting to keep others from actually making moves that would secure us TOP people. It really just doesn't make any ******* sense, and speaks to how ******* bad this school is from the top down, and why we haven't won **** in 20 years. Who the **** is in charge?

**** Are there legit people in the BOT who think it's better to have some nobody they can control while winning 8 games/yr than to have a top guy who is going to turn this program around? Like who the **** would choose Manny Diaz over Mario Cristobal or Lane Kiffin today?

The job shouldn't just be handed to Jurich and Mario. But at the end of the day if we are hiring people over them they need to be unanimously viewed as top candidates for their positions.

And most importantly this clearly isn't about money. This is just about short sighting political BS. Anyone with half a brain knows if you hire the best people you can and ******* win the money will take care of itself here. The BOT members who wanted to keep Blake James as if he was some elite fundraiser (what other possible reason could they want to keep him?) need to sit the **** down and shut up.

They’ve won the Coastal more than we have.

I just named two local guys to target (also why I put the more realistic one first). Chadwell knows the area & it’s an easy conference to get your feet wet. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Maybe certain people are probably heavily benefiting from money flowing their way instead of athletics and of course some don't want to be seen losing face or their agendas not being met.

I still think Manny is fired.

You have to understand that the world of academia in the 21st century values diversity, inclusion and equity far more than employing the most qualified. It takes an athletic department that is given the independence by its BOT/University President to bypass the SJW poison and get the best available AD, coaches and staff.

USC has finally gotten that commitment. At UM, it appears the BOT/Frenk can't beat back the SJW diversity/inclusion faction that has poisoned the athletic department since Shalala.

Diversity and SJW have nothing to do with this. It seems to simply be about certain BOT members wanting power for the sake of power.
