Jurich

Someone point to where this buyout drops 2m on Wednesday. Who the fvck made up this rumor? This is all bullsht and they’re just dragging it out so they can say they tried and bring back Mandy next year. A program serious about a change will not care about a measly 2m.

Looks like the newbs are going to have to pry this program from their cold dead hands.

@DMoney @Cribby
why is it that USC and Florida have no qualms about firing their HC’s, and the concern of “losing young talent” is never mentioned. But at Miami they’re scared of their own shadow.

This school finds new ways to make themselves look clueless. I’m to the point where I want Manny Diaz to return solely so the BOT can watch the fanbase turn on the Hurricanes and blast social media non stop with negative criticism

The BOT is playing with matches in a gasoline refinery at this point

True, they can't dictate it. But they also have the right to withdraw their services at any time if Miami DOES dictate their search. It works both ways.

Did you read DMoney's original post though? It said the firm threatened to resign if we even INTERVIEWED Jurich.

And people think that Lane Kiffin is a likely second choice at head coach...

Yes, it is still open. I posted this the last time we had a Jurich discussion.

Yes, very sorry for not giving you the credit, it was your post that I read, and you were spot-on as per usual.

I’m sure that’s part of it, probably a significant part. I’m not familiar with this particular firm, but the ones I’m familiar with, probably most, are paid a fee by the actual candidates. Whether that’s a flat amount, or percentage of their new position salary, depends on the particular search firm.

Again I’m not privy to their internal workings, I’m just privy to having used them.

To be honest, I never considered them to be an honest broker, nor to have my best interest in mind, my only interest in them was to look at possible candidates and to see if they had a jewel among their stable that was worth the hassle of using them.

I honestly can’t recall if I’ve ever hired someone from a search firm. It’s been a while.

There are also C-suite type, and M&A type searches that use a specialized firm.

About 90% of the time someone internally is hired, either from acquaintances or through networking, or people that actually work for the company changing positions.

To be honest, most of the time, especially in upper management, there is generally an idea of who is wanted for the position, and a lot of time interviewing is just covering your bases for HR type reasons.
Exec search firms are not paid by the candidate. They are paid by the clients. I've both been placed by an exec search firm and retained them.

For all those worried if we will ***** this up, stop worrying, WE WILL! We sat around since the MSU game when we should have fired Blake James and hunted down his replacement in that time. Today we should have fired Manny. We should be interviewing coaches over the next 2 weeks and pick one before early signing day at the latest.

We have not made any serious decisions in any normal timing, whether it be the timing of firing Blake James to the hiring of Manny Diaz in a 6-hour job search. We are a clown car full up to the brim! We will hire another mistake at AD and perhaps at HC again, or even worse, keep Manny for one more year as we spiral towards a 6-6 record. Manny has had 15 losses in 3 seasons, that would exceed any measure you would have put on him to retain his job, yet of course the people in charge don't set goals to be achieved, they simply go by feel and their guts which have been wrong time and time again! So fear not, we are seeing the same performance we saw when they hired Manny, the leopard does not change its spots.

Does the university also pay the firm a fee or is it typically just the candidate? I ask because if the money is just coming from the candidates then the search firm may threaten to resign as they would not make any money form an outside candidate.
I always assumed search firms made money on both ends.
A respectable search firm doesn't charge the candidate.

Epstein snitched to the firm that was being used for optics for who they really want. Epstein won’t move his fat *** out of the way because of his giant ego.

I told you guys for weeks that he’s a ******* weasel and he’s doing what weasels do. He knows he’ll lose his power if the new blood gets their way and starts writing the checks. He’s an egotistical mongoloid who’s been behind the James and Diaz hires. He snuck around them once with hiring Diaz in the first place and now he’s trying to do it again.
@Zbrod95 ^^^above is pretty close^^^ it is more than epstein. we had our guy. search firm just optics. search firm figured **** out. hope we stand strong and don't let the turncoats change Frenks mind. full scale war....
