If it is not announced Wed when buyout goes down supposedly then he is coming back. Is he still doing radio show tomorrow morning like normal?

Assuming we've been talking to Lane & Mario behind the scenes and those convo's are going in the right direction, then there is no reason not to wait for Manny's buyout to drop $2M and have an extra $2M to spend on staff/analysts. Everyone on here overreacts and needs to chill for a min. Very possible we f this up but we were never going for Napier or Riley.

Now if we end up with Manny another year, well then shut the program down
 
Open up the checkbooks for Rado. He is the best choice. There is an amount he would leave for. Figure it out and pay him.

What we need is a physical protest. Something that is guaranteed to make national news. All the Twitter posts and replies don't get picked up and it is easy to dismiss as it is just a tweet. A protest outside of the Hecht would draw cameras and news reporters. Full-on Tennessee style. American media loves a good protest, right?
 
Has this buyout-getting-lower theory actually been verified by any insiders? Cause that's the only hope I'm clinging onto at this point. If we haven't fired Manny by now, the only other reason is that we don't have the financial and/or political support necessary to fire him.

There is zero reason to believe that any of that has happened though. I could fully envision that our admin hasn't even kicked the tires of any coach while waiting on an AD hire. Could contact with other coaches have already been made? Sure. But with the incompetence that the BOT has shown time and time again, I wouldn't bet on it.

this part doesn't make any sense to me. if you tell Manny today that he's not being retained, he's not going to stay 3 more days out of spite. it will be a mutually parting of ways. he can use those extra days to find a new job.

Absolutely 100. I've never seen or heard anything like this in my entire career.

I guess Turnkey must be feeling their oats to act this boldly.

****, I have a headhunter that I had to tell "I'm taking a smaller offer with a company on the east coast instead of the bigger offer you got me on the west coast" and his response to me was "let's stay in touch, you never know when you might need to call me to hire people at your new company". Those are the people I want to deal with in the future.
