I get why D$ would post this, but this is the type of info that makes our program look like a chaotic circus. Unstable and not-in-control. If it turns out the source's info wasn't 100 percent accurate, the damage is done nonetheless. Our rivals are gonna have a field day with this type of stuff.

On the other hand, if $ is posting this, I'm sure it has legs. Public outcry and pressure can definitely move the needle against the search firm. Hopefully UM does exactly what $ says and doesn't let them dictate our hire.

Let them resign. You are being paid for a service. Do you job or move over for someone else to do so......oh, and no payment for your stupidity.

That would be the day i'd let a search firm dictate what i could and couldn't do.

Again, no insider info, but I am still certain it's about the money. If they resign, they'll probably take their candidates with them. So no one wants that. Miami just needs to give them more of the vig if they buy Jurich and the search firm will snap into place. ... Still shows how badly this whole situation has been mismanaged.

My guess is that someone gave this to D$ to post in order to help the cause.

WTF?! I know Miami pays a fee but does the search firm also get a cut of the AD/Coach salary?

I guess they dont take requirements.... they just do what they want... interesting strategy for future clients.

And this is exactly why a bunch of us have been displaying battered-wife syndrome on this board over the course of the past week.

No offense to the insiders — because you are all great and I appreciate what you bring to the board — but something always seemed off about this process.

The delay reeked of shenanigans. We were told to “be patient” repeatedly by people in the know, but if the administration was serious about the change that many of you speak of, something would have been official by now.

Consider me very worried now. These circumstances are setting the stage for a Tony Hernandez-like hire.

Fvck this university.
