June 2nd camp updates

Kids ought to be embarrassed going to a camp and not participating.

players like Lane and Valentine do note need to participate everybody already knows they are high D1 talent. If they want to pay the $50 or whatever it cost to dominate the other players fine but it is not needed.

It's not about determining if they're D1 talent or not. It's about becoming a better player!

It is one day maybe they didn't feel like paying for the camp maybe the staff said "it cool just show up we dont need to see you camp we just want you to be there"

It's on the intramural fields not greentree

Few recruits said the latter portion is true.

That's what I was thinking

1st that's your speculation & nobody knows the specifics but there's a big difference between participants & observers.

Either way it is an embarassement that UM a leading FBS school would put kids they are trying to impress on any shabby field like that. I am hoping its just a small part of the field, Greentree is usaully better kept. I am glad the new facilities are finished that will definitely help. That pic would just support other schools claims about UM's poor facilities.

Go Canes

The observers Pete has pointed out so far are local soon to be seniors with commitable offers.

Some kids don't need to participate while others do to earn an offer.

Not about need, it's about being a competitor

The elite kids have nothing to prove. Just the fact some of these kids are there and interacting with the staff is good enough for me.
And this is how entitlement begins...

Stop.

What do Lane, Dixon, Yearby, and Valentine have to prove? They already have offers and have produced for their respective teams.

Khairi Clark. First HS prospect to oversleep on the day of a camp.

They are 16. They have EVERYTHING to prove. If the staff is cool with it than we can't complain, though.

It has nothing to do with the offer but just maybe they might actually learn something while being out there. That's the point. They're getting perched up as a celebrity while being out there instead participating & possibly learning something. Day 1 of D1 College Football guess who's back to little fish in the food chain. What would Ray Lewis say to this?
