JuCo RB Drew Harris

Glides really nicely on those tree trunks. Nice twitch for a guy of that build and size. Moves fast, introduces his shoulder. Love the way he runs.

To add to the excitement here before he inevitably can't qualify for admission, he was a four star, top 15 back in the 2012 class who I remember us and FSU offering then. The guy at VT's 24/7 site who said he was likely to end up at Miami is on staff there. That said, this is the first I've heard of it.

He fits the mold of the RB all of us armchair coaches think would perfectly compliment the Duke of Coral Gables.

Fingers crossed.

I heard he's been a fan since childhood -- we're his dream school. He has 'Cane blood; his dad and uncle played for us. He says he likes the family atmosphere.

Harris signed with Va Tech last year but didn't qualify and went to Fork Union Military. A freind of mine who is a Tech fan said that an insider on their board said that Miami looks like the likely destination for Harris. He asked me about but I haven't seen his name mentioned before. does any staff writer/insiders know if we are recruiting him at all? 247 says we offered back in Feb 2011 and he had an UV in aug 2011 but that was a while ago. would bring some more size to backfield

Nice player.

How is he a JUCO if he went to prep school?
Pretty big difference between JUCO and prep in terms of his class standing.

Something to keep in mind. UM supposedly told Greshams coach 2 weeks ago that we were petty much done at RB. If this kid is an "AG surprise" then it would make sense why they blew him off. And why they blew off most of the other plan B/C guys like McNight.

Fork Union is not a Juco; it's a prep school. I think that's where Vinny T went, and over the years, a number of other Canes.

I didn't notice that he went to ASA after he went to Fork Union, I guess. This kid has been all over the place, taking online courses that were apparently not accepted, etc. His father's name is Drew Harris Sr. and I don't remember a player at UM by that name.

This kid's academic history has been a mess, and according to his father, he was given bad advice about his courses. Now he's at a very dicey juco, one that is privately owned, and just started a decade or so ago as a computer school. Same one Cory Johnson goes to. It's amazing how colleges are bending their standards to build up their football programs.

I didn't research it myself, my boy called him a juco so I just went with it. Still waiting for an insider to confirm he even has a committable offer
