Josh Moore and Charmar Brown - out for the season

That field is garbage....

Although I do think some of it comes down to dumb luck, Miami played a record number of games last season after making it all the way to the National Championship Game. That also meant having one of the shortest offseasons ever heading into 2026 season. I’m starting to wonder if the accumulated wear and tear from last season is beginning to show this year.

Looks. Like we are Going to Need Milan Parris & Wingo . There now not Luxury Talents. We are going to need them.

**** this is were that idiot Cam Vaughn Would have helped. Vaughn Scewed both Himself & Miami. Injuries Happen
Same with Hayden Lowe
Very True indeed
It’s like as the Fall Started we Started loosing Talented Players ,For whatever Reasons .Glad we Didn’t loose Jordan Lyle . A Big Season from him can maybe compensate. If We Can run the Ball Better Mensah is hard to Stop MCCoy Must be put back at Left guard .

I don't know about that but would not be surprised if it played a part. Could the high intensity practices on Greentree play a big part? I think that might be the biggest reason. The bottom line is sometimes teams just get bit by the bug and it is what it is. The U will overcome.

This is Lyle’s time to step up. If the o-line can improve we’re good. We still have plenty of weapons.

This is fckn nuts, worst part about ball.

I've always said I love this sport, especially college football, but this is the part that sucks and unlike the NFL
there is no waiver wire.

This is why I cringe when folks talk about the team and its depth during offseason.
It's fall, time to put away the college football preview magazines.

Between the disastrous interior OL play and all the injuries piling up at key spots, this season has the potential to be derailed. This is extremely frustrating.
We play nobody so it shouldn’t derail but anyone still clamoring for a championship is out of their mind.

We’ll be in a dog fight in Charlotte against Louisville.

Moore was injured with 8:20 left in the fourth while blocking a DB. No impact from the turf. Have to assume a torn labrum/cuff or biceps at the labrum. AC injury would have had him stop playing as the collar bone displaces. Tough kid to keep playing with the injury. My labrum surgeries took 3 months to get back to physical activity and 12 to feel 100%.

Toney- grass may have helped absorb the impact.

Brown- that is the typical turf knee issue. When getting tackled, the foot “stuck” causing most of the load to transfer to the ligaments. Grass gives

Fletcher- the under thrown check down when he fell to the turf was his last play. He did not play again. Turf may have increased the chances of a shoulder injury but landing with your arms over your head increases the risk no matter what playing surface.

Moten- Omar hit him in the shoulder but he also landed on that side on the same play.

For the most part we was pretty lucky with injuries last year but that shìt definitely swung back around this season smh. I guess upshaw gets to start now and more reps for Jacobs and wingo

These injuries suck and Marty was my favorite player on the team so seeing him get hurt bad ruined the game for me.
But pretty much all of these injuries had zero to do with playing on the turf. We need to stop this nonsense. SMH
Mensah got hit, Fletcher got a stinger, Mali strained himself reaching for the pass, Moore got hurt on a pile up, etc.
Can’t speak for Marty but looked more due to getting tackled in a way where his leg got twisted. Just severely unlucky.

You are full of ****. How these injuries had "zero" to do with the turf is ridiculous.

First, Malachi did NOT strain himself reaching for the pass. He went down hard on his shoulder when he was tackled a couple of plays BEFORE THAT. And, yes, landing on hard artificial turf is not as easy as landing on grass. THAT is the play where Malachi got hurt, not "reaching for a pass". What a moronic claim.

As for Marty's play, it wasn't his "leg got twisted". His right knee was already bending awkwardly from the plant, NOT getting tackled and rolled over on. And that could very well be an artificial turf issue.

Same with "Moore got hurt in a pile up". Yeah, you're some kind of specific-detail genius, aren't you? You know how you can get hurt in a pile-up on a hard artificial surface?

Just stupid nonsense from you. Do you own stock in Astroturf? Do you represent ownership in collective bargaining? You have no idea what happened. Certainly not ALL of the injuries were due to the turf, but some were or were made more severe by the unforgiving nature of that playing surface.

And it's ridiculous. That is a wide open stadium and there is no reason they couldn't have a great natural-grass playing surface. Wake Forest is the smallest Big 4 school (by enrollment), I have no idea what they are doing with all that ACC money. Installing a grass field should be a slam dunk.
Thanks for ur insight.
U could respond and disagree without being nasty but it’s ok either way.
I agree there is no need to have the turf and they have the resources and setup to have natural grass.
