Josh Moore and Charmar Brown - out for the season

This is why I cried as a grown *** man after we lost the natty. It’s just so effing hard to get back. So much has to go on right. We’re going to be in a war if we make it to charlotte
We should all have learned in 2002. You have to capitalize, you might not make it back for 25 years.

That being said, this season is far from over. This are big losses, but we ain’t dead yet.

Yup the cope of I walked out with a smile and just happy to be there is impossible if you are 40 yards from glory after 25 years in shambles.. Nothing is guarenteed, many were young and now middle aged. Especially in playoff era it is dam hard

Time to see some of these freshmen they seem reluctant to play at WR and on the OL. Wingo, Parris, Cantwell, Congdon, Ervin, Waters, etc.

Force them in this week.

Feels like we're scared to play them the way we have in years past. Except for Dunnigan, Mallory, and a little bit of Mueller.
Dawg, they said we would rotate 6-7 wr. We really only play 4. Losing Moore doesnt matter.. We will just play 3 and only throw to Mali. Jacobs got 5 snaps last game, **** kinda pitiful.

Thanks for ur insight.
U could respond and disagree without being nasty but it’s ok either way.
I agree there is no need to have the turf and they have the resources and setup to have natural grass.

The combination of your factual inaccuracy, reliance on the TV commentators, and dismissiveness ("we need to stop this nonsense") is why you got what you got.

That field looked old and terrible. Anyone in the stadium could see that. Then you factor in the rain earlier in the day, the dirty hits and fights by Wake Forest players, and the desperation to try to make a statement by beating Miami, and it was a recipe for disaster.

Is there any data that injuries are more likely in physical, hard fought games than lesser ones where you can play backups and distribute snaps? You’re our data guy?!! Ha. Come on, my bro.

Oh…and Mali was initially hurt on the long pass play down the sideline, not the acrobatic high catch which happens 2 plays later. When he gets up after the sideline catch he starts to favor his left side/shoulder area.

Exactly.

People at the game saw that.

People watching on TV and putting too much faith in the commentators...are the ones who believe in the "stretch" theory of Toney's injury.

I hate turf with a passion. It should be banned from any open air stadium.

With that said, the parents of a player on WF told me it’s relatively new and their players have not experienced the same rash of injuries as we did. Maybe they are accustomed to playing on it. Not sure but this injury rate is unsustainable.

You saw what we saw.

"Relatively new" is a lie. Maybe they repaired it, but that was NOT a "relatively new" field.

And let's not forget, turf is the product of two things. First, there is the base. Back in the 1970s, the would use asphalt for the base under the turf. Second, there is the turf itself, which even when BRAND NEW can be problematic.

That artificial surface looked like ****, and it was wet too. Recipe for disaster.

First, Malachi did NOT strain himself reaching for the pass. He went down hard on his shoulder when he was tackled a couple of plays BEFORE THAT. And, yes, landing on hard artificial turf is not as easy as landing on grass. THAT is the play where Malachi got hurt, not "reaching for a pass". What a moronic claim.
"A 20-year nationwide orthopedic study published in 2025 by the Rhode Island Medical Journal noted that while turf yielded more strains, sprains, and abrasions, natural grass fields actually recorded higher rates of dislocations and fractures for upper trunk, wrist, and upper body zones. This is often because natural grass fields can develop divots, uneven muddy spots, and hard-frozen dirt in cold weather, leading to awkward, high-impact landings.....Dislocations were 4.73 times more likely and fractures 1.45 times more likely on grass."

WR shouldn't be a concern as long as Barkate and Mali are healthy... those are two WR1s.... we played last year with Mali and a bunch of guys who aren't as good as Barkate.. and we have a better QB than last year... we have lots of options at WR3...

It tough to lose Brown and Moore but if we can get healthy in the secondary and fix the o line issues without dropping a game and avoid any other major injuries to key players this team can make a run. It's football injuries happen and our depth is being tested but Lyles need to start his breakout campaign against CM. More Jacobs and Wingo probably wont be a bad thing either

Malachi did not suffer a dislocation or fracture.

Thanks for trying, though. That soft cuck @ssvir thinks I should be nicer to people who post irrelevant or inaccurate information.

And for the record, I'm not saying there are NO injuries on grass, but it's just funny because even turf can be made better/safer than that hard old surface they had at Wake.

I really enjoyed our playoff run, but I am still not happy with the natty. Won't be.
