I despised that stadium from the first moment I saw players slipping on quick movements. Means the turf was slick and firm. In a WhatsApp chat, I was praying we’d keep pushing the ball downfield and stay away from a fist fight.

We got lucky with injuries. That luck usually runs out.

Yea these are the most difficult thing about playing football. We have been fortunate the past few years with injuries but unfortunately they are starting to pile up. 2 Elite DBs out since game 1, 1 workhorse RB2, 1 solid WR3

These injuries suck and Marty was my favorite player on the team so seeing him get hurt bad ruined the game for me.
But pretty much all of these injuries had zero to do with playing on the turf. We need to stop this nonsense. SMH
Mensah got hit, Fletcher got a stinger, Mali strained himself reaching for the pass, Moore got hurt on a pile up, etc.
Can’t speak for Marty but looked more due to getting tackled in a way where his leg got twisted. Just severely unlucky.

That’s pretty matter of fact when you have no idea, either. Marty’s injury could have easily been from the turf. Don’t know if some of those upper injury ones happened from slamming into the turf or not. Moten wasn’t bc he was hit by friendly fire. Either way, if youve ever played on a field like that, you know it’s an uncomfortable feeling and makes you tentative to just stop and go. The other part is getting into a physical game in that environment. More opportunities for freak injuries.

I agree with u, the turf sucks to fall on. Who knows with Marty, but our depth will be tested for sure this season.
