To be fair, a lot of us were 'underwhelmed' by the Dugans and Banda hires and for the most part everyone seems to really value them now. Let it play out

Honestly, I think Richt went with a mixture of veterans, like Searles and Kul, to be augmented by young guys, who will put in 14 hour days. Also, full believe he wanted a staff that would grow together. No doubt there will be bump along the way and some OJT. They seem to get along as a staff which is important in the long run.

I keep saying it but I want Barrow back coaching LBs. Great coach and recruits very well, always had studs under him. Knows the culture that we need and left bc he was sick of Golden I’m sure. He would really thrive under Richt, program is night and day now compared to when Barrow was here before, he would kill it on the trail.

Our LBs sucked *** when Barrow was coaching them.

This is the type of hire I'm expecting. A promotion to one of our QC coaches or something along those lines. While I'd love a big splash hire, I just don't think it'll happen.

You honestly think Barrow will take a demotion to get back to Miami? He has a really nice set up in Seattle and he has teen age kids. I like Barrow and he was a good position coach, but Miami recruit a bunch of stinkers at linebacker. For every Sean Spence or Denzel Perryman, you had three guys like Tyrone Cornelius, Brandon Marti or Kevin Nelson. There were some years we didn't even take a linebacker.

I don't know if this guy is the 10th assistant, but this guy has followed Diaz to most locations. Probably still a quality control guy. We shall see.

Idk what his current situation is. I know he left for Seattle years ago but didn’t know if he was still there and I definitely didn’t know anything about his family or kids. Just basing it off his time here.

Yeah a few LBs sucked but he also had DP, EJ44, Gionni Paul, Kirby, Gabe Terry, Blue, Figs and some other studs. Most of those guys made bad decisions and got booted, but I’m not sure you can attribute that to Barrow. His guys that were good were really good! He wouldn’t get the duds on this staff, I think it would be more likely he would want to offer the Nik Bonitto’s of the world and couldn’t.

His Twitter has always said assistant LB coach. If we were promoting someone from the support staff it would be him or Cooney. Since we’re going with defense it would be him.

Even though he was a support staff guy, Mississippi State hated losing him and he seems like a young upcoming coach. High energy guy that would probably be a beast recruiter like Banda and Hartley

Yeah I'm sure he is dying to get back to recruiting kids and probably take a pay cut.

That’s such a douchebag answer. No where in my post do I reference that being realistic or Barrow having interest. Simply the candidate I would want if I had control over the situation.

I don't think he's the 10th coach with an Assistant Linebackers Coach title.

He’s off campus recruiting. Right now he is the tenth coach. May be temporary though

Isn't there a new rule that says if you are close enough to campus it doesn't count as off-campus? Or did I hear/read it wrong.

Never said or assumed that he was interested. I even mentioned that previously. But since literally not a single realistic candidate has been discussed by anyone but a fan, I gave my 2 cents
