Yeah, I thought about Frost, but I don't think he was considered an "All-American" QB in college.

Harbaugh was 2nd team All-American behind Vinny in '86.

yeah, I was just using All-American as a catch-all for "really good player".

Pat Fitzgerald was an all conference type at Northwestern too.

I guess there are more coaches who were good players than I thought.

Maybe not that many. We've been at this for a couple of days and have only come up with a small handful.

I think most fall somewhere between Mike Leach (never played), Nick Saban/Chip Kelly/Dan Mullen/Jimbo Fisher (played at some bottom-feeder school), and Dabo Swinney/Mark Richt/Kirby Smart/Will Muschamp (guys that played for a P5 school, but had forgettable careers).
