Jon beason picks UF

LOL some of you people have no sense of humor. jesus christ yes he's being honest and needs to give his pick, ok great. it's a canes message board we're just being homers. good lord

I’m gonna be honest with you chief. Beason’s teams quit on the regular I.e. LSU In 05, Louisville 06, all of 2006 really.
 
If we are going to "hate" people for picking UF over Miami in two weeks, we are going to hate a lot of people. UF is preseason Top 10 and UM is not preseason Top 25. Of course, we know that doesn't mean ****, but a lot of people think UF is going to be a contender for a the SEC East and Playoff.

If I left out Miami's name and said to you that team A:

Has a new head coach and staff; and the HC has never been a head coach before
Gave you the previous year stats of the returning QBs
The fresh faces in the secondary
Lost their "most productive" returning DT to an injury
A new punter
The OL
And the production from the returning WRs (except of course JT)
And mentioned that this team lost to: UVA, BC, Duke, GT (in a row) and was blown out by over 30 in the bowl game


None of you (on paper) would pick Team A to beat UF in two weeks.

Not sure why anyone is upset at this. Jon is not speaking as an alum, he's speaking as a professional. No way in the world he's going to come off as a homer....that would damage his career on this new network.

This isn't the Joe Rose show...this is the ACCN, powered by ESPN. Let him get some spect on his name, first, and then we'll see the homerism slowly leak out.

Doesn't bother me one bit....let them keep believing this is a walk in the park for them. I think this is a little reverse psych going on

We'll see how the gators react once they get punched in the mouth come Aug 24th. I think we got some Alphas on our team, I don't see one Alpha on that gators roster.

Our guys seem very focused during fall camp. Im not sensing the same from them

Is it okay if I'm a delusional homer on the inside and cautiously optimistic on the outside?

Because outside I do like our chances but inside I'm thinking we roll.

God forbid the guy should say what he honestly thinks. Has nothing to do with what he hopes or who he is rooting for. These posts criticizing Beason for this, or even more bizarrely, calling it "reverse psychology" are insane.
