Jon Beason compared current Hurricanes quarterback Jarren Williams to NFL legends Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.

Clearly he's fast but note that one of your examples was a crucial third-down against Florida that jaron decided to slide one yard short of the marker rather then get contacted at the marker.
I think they marked him short but imo it should have been a first down run clearly to me

Only Cane fans could pull that Brady/Manning nugget out during a season like this.

Our talent and our record is what we are, not some fairy tale of grandeur. "We roll" "We Dominate Coastal" "We can still win Coastal" "Wait there's still a mathematical chance." 17 **** years and only took the coastal once with this group of teams in it.

**** been around football much? It's a freakin rebuild regardless of what you want to call it. It has been from the minute Richt said he was done. Didn't have the horses, have even less this year. Same rotating QB issues, same O-line, and team chemistry problems, and the Defense is worse. Yes, reality is a MF'r.

The fix wasn't as easy as an OC and a new QB like last year's bunch of experts said (Yes I realize alot of them think they are this year's experts too).

For you lazy degenerates, this was the quote:

....but Jarren’s ability to climb the pocket and feel the presence of the rush during the entire season has been impressive. I compare him to Peyton Manning and Tom Brady in that they are not mobile guys, but they are hard to sack—I think Jarren has that.

He compared him to them in their mobility and "climbing the pocket" only.
The problem with Jarren is that he keeps climbing, and has been taking the sack, prior to Pitt.
Hopefully this starts a new trend with JW, but to say a man who's been sacked 20+ times is hard to sack is just not accurate.
I hate when facts ruin a good thread.

Look at brad kaaya for an example, he’s one of the most immobile qbs I’ve ever seen but even he didn’t take that a bunch of sacks in his 3 years starting at Miami. He had subtle movements in the pocket and got the ball out fast.

Stop it, the boy got His head bust off a 2 man pass rush. Not 6...not 5...not 4...not 3...but TWO!!!

It’s a fallacy regardless, just because you are more mobile doesnt mean you Are good at avoiding sacks. Look at brad kaaya for an example, he’s one of the most immobile qbs I’ve ever seen but even he didn’t take that a bunch of sacks in his 3 years starting at Miami. He had subtle movements in the pocket and got the ball out fast.

There is some truth in what you’re saying but Brad Kaaya is a terrible example. His version of getting the ball out fast was throwing 1 yard screens in the dirt on 3rd and long.

Jarren Williams is way more mobile than Kaaya but is scarier in the pocket than Kaaya... I’ve never seen a QB purposely take sacks at the level JW does every game.

With our porous OL, he's got a lot of climbing to do

Where did he say he was a scrambler? He specifically mentioned climbing the pocket which Manning was an expert at doing. Clown!

I seem to remember that one of Jarren's selling points was his ability to run (see scramble) and not take a sack when the play went South. At some point in his career he might develop that part of his game. So far, he has only shown his ability to run backward and take a sack. Since the OL does not seem to be able to keep a pocket long enough for any QB to climb the pocket is imaginary at this point, we don't know if Jarren has the ability to use that maneuver. So comparing his climbing the pocket ability to any other QB is a exercise in futility.

hmmm?

One things for certain, that guy needs to layoff whatever he's smoking or stay away from the contact. He's the same guy that was siding with kyle wrong and didnt want willie williams on the team, the day when those 2 were names the so called team leaders, i knew than for sure this program was in trouble. While jb did well for himself in the pro's, and became a 1st round draft pick, he wasnt some All-time Great during his time at UM! With that being said, him chiming in on the qb situation is comical to me, he would have credibility had he been one of the ones calling out kyle wrong while he was here, but jb is a corporate type guy!

I don't care, I agree with anything Hurricane greats say. They know everything and anything. They should even advise our government on foreign policy.
