Williams is clearly capable of Escaping pressure and being a good runner he just has to do it more. This is not a kaaya situation where he’s physically unable to do it. Williams even admitted he was hanging on to reads early on in the year instead of having that clock in his head to go ahead and run.
I think they marked him short but imo it should have been a first down run clearly to meClearly he's fast but note that one of your examples was a crucial third-down against Florida that jaron decided to slide one yard short of the marker rather then get contacted at the marker.
Ben Rapistburger knew how to escape sacks. Not Jarren.Ben Roethlisberger would be the better comparison.. minus the rape.
I hate when facts ruin a good thread. For you lazy degenerates, this was the quote:
....but Jarren’s ability to climb the pocket and feel the presence of the rush during the entire season has been impressive. I compare him to Peyton Manning and Tom Brady in that they are not mobile guys, but they are hard to sack—I think Jarren has that.
He compared him to them in their mobility and "climbing the pocket" only.
The problem with Jarren is that he keeps climbing, and has been taking the sack, prior to Pitt.
Hopefully this starts a new trend with JW, but to say a man who's been sacked 20+ times is hard to sack is just not accurate.
Look at brad kaaya for an example, he’s one of the most immobile qbs I’ve ever seen but even he didn’t take that a bunch of sacks in his 3 years starting at Miami. He had subtle movements in the pocket and got the ball out fast.
It’s a fallacy regardless, just because you are more mobile doesnt mean you Are good at avoiding sacks. With our porous OL, he's got a lot of climbing to doFor you lazy degenerates, this was the quote:

Where did he say he was a scrambler? He specifically mentioned climbing the pocket which Manning was an expert at doing. Clown!

hmmm?
If JW is good at avoiding the sack, I'd hate to see a QB that is bad at avoiding the sack.
