You can tell Mario loves these big name shows. He’s a different dude on them

but i've never seem him so relaxed that this interview. he's usually on edge, but not today.

One comment from Mario that really stood out to me (and I’m paraphrasing) is that after the SMU game he had a 15 minute film made of highlights of the first few games and the entire team watched with no audio. After everyone watched, there was a different attitude by everyone in the room including him. He said he realized he needed to lighten up a little and let the guys just play and have fun.

Hopefully, this seems to have been a revelation, now and in the future, for Mario and he allows the staff and players to just play free and have some fun

he said that this morning on the Joe Rose show.

smart move by mario to show highlights of what we did early in the season, hopefully the message reached mario and mirabal and dawson, who needed to see it as much as the players.

I just watched that whole episode and I couldn't believe how much Mario was enjoying that interview. He's never so relaxed. Granted, he was reminiscing and talking about the past, etc. but even when they were asking him questions, he was pretty laid back.... A small weight has been lifted by getting in....
