Joe Jackson*, DE, Miami
Height: 6-5. Weight: 258.
Projected 40 Time: 4.65.
Projected Round (2019): 2-4.
12/15/18: Team sources were disappointed in Jackson's play in 2018. They felt he lacked consistency and ran too hot and cold. In some games, Jackson faced a lot of one-on-ones in the pass rush that he lost to linemen who aren't even close to being NFL prospects. In 2018, Jackson has 47 tackles with 14.5 for a loss, nine sacks, three forced fumbles, three passes batted, and an interception returned 42 yards for a touchdown.

DraftTek has him as the 103rd prospect. That’s what, early round 3?

He could try to have a dominant senior year and push himself into the first round.

Walter Football is the best.

I think he stays...silly to turn down potential 1st round guaranteed money. The DL class this year is so deep.

He rolled his ankle shortly thereafter and did not play the rest of the game.
It seemed like he made a business decision... I.E. knew he was leaving for the draft, rolled his ankle, and sat out to protect himself.

why would he be smart for staying

you're getting confused on what's best for the fans and program and what's best for the player

dude is already first round/2nd round at worst
You must not know the other dlineman in. The draft

Can't imagine Joe Jax comes back. He didn't have the dominant season i expected him to this year, but scouts will be wowed by his physical gifts.

I'm not sure it makes sense for him to bail. The NFL is about offense and teams will be more inclined to spend high draft picks on QBs, WRs, OL. There's a million good DEs already in this draft. He should come back.

All of this is true.

He sang the vocals for William Shatner- Common People

Some one who has their own interest will convince him that in his best interest to leave

We're in a decent position to absorb his departure now that Shaq and Pinckney have announced they're returning since Joyner can stay at DE.

Garvin, Rousseau, Patchan, Joyner, Harvey, Williams

He was on a few preseason lists to go first round . I don’t think he was productive enough IMO to go that high . I don’t see him going any further than the 3rd , but maybe Manny can work some magic and have him stick around and try to improve on the year he had.
