Cristobal has two double-digit win seasons in his career, both of which are at Oregon. I don't think he's good, but I could be wrong.

How do you know it's not the right decision? Because of Years 1 and 2 of a rebuild? What will you be saying when we win 10 or more games? Will Mario's record for his first three years be better than Randy Shannon's at that point?

You could have saved your keystrokes and ****strokes by just telling us your old log-in name.

Because I don't think Mario Cristobal is a good coach. I could be wrong, but probably not.

He took a 5-year-old program that was on probation, and had nearly all of their wins vacated, to a conference championship and a bowl win.

This is another non-responsive post. I was responding to the gentleman that suggested Mario can stumble into a ten-win season based on his recruiting. He's never done that except at Oregon which is one of the best programs in the country.

So your opinion on a football coach should dictate whether Joe Echevarria becomes UM President.

Just go away.

At least we know this latest "Paul Butt****er" log-in identity will be gone in three months.

It's not non-responsive, you liar. It is directly responsive to YOUR comment about Mario having only two 10-win seasons at Oregon.

I have no problems with admiring Howard Schnellenberger and Butch Davis for attempting incredibly difficult turnarounds at multiple schools. I don't run my mouth about "10-win seasons".

Howard Schnellenberger had THREE "10-win seasons", one at Miami, one at Louisville, one at FAU.

Butch Davis had ONE "10-win season" (Miami obviously).

I guess that makes them terrible coaches.

So we got a NFL QB who didn't grade high enough yet for the NFL in terms of draft grade (day 1 or 2) but literally EVERYONE views as the best transfer in the portal.

It is what it is. He's here, not going anywhere. Might not even disagree.. just odd timing for this subject given we're so close to the season.

The guy worked at the highest levels of the world’s preeminent accounting firm where he likely hired many executive level employees. Hiring a football coach is child’s play to him.

And clearly the guy (now banned) didn't bother to listen to the interview, where Joe talked about "failure".

I'm sure he will run off to another site to complain about how all the Meanie Maudes at CIS banned him just because he was a noble truth-teller.

Notify mods, ignore and discuss the interview. Simple enough.

It was a solid interview. Hitting on the overall University balance was smart and important. His optimistic outlook and the expectations he set mirror the discussions of people you consider mopes. Like most leadership positions, the proof will be in the pudding if or when the investments or strategies take negative turns. Let's hope those are minimal.
