They asked great questions and are really trying to understand what makes the U...unique! I hope they use the info to make the right choice!

its sad but mario is going to be our coach, something just tells me they are going to mess it up

It's almost like stubbornly refusing to consider candidates with no ties to the school results in a pathetically underwhelming list from which to choose.

Besides our former players are there any gators, noles, or * graduates on the search committee?

All of the football alums want Wario because they think that they will get a job on the staph if Wario is the coach. Lord help the program if they get their way. BTW, there will be some hurt feelings because Wario can't put everyone on the staph.

I hope he means, consensus from asking former players, not consensus on who they're picking.

Edit: I'm pretty sure that's what he means, and that's what we knew. We knew who the players wanted.

I think we're misinterpreting the tweet.

It sounds like the search firm is soliciting opinions from former players, and the former players are naming those four. Which would make sense, since they don't have experience with other possible candidates.

I doubt the headhunters gave Joaquin their own list. I doubt they even have a list. The conversation probably went something like this:

Joaquin: What names have you been hearing from the other players?
Headhunter: We hear a lot about Butch and Mario, some about Chud, and a little about Schiano.

Butch will ki the interviews theres no way those other guys can do what he does, they wont mess this up hes going to give them no choice. He a savage

a firm to hire Mario??? pay 7 mill to fire a coach.. to bring in the one guy who has a worst resume than Golden...smh

I love Joaquin but I thought these Columbus boys were smarter? He just got interviewed by the search firm and is blasting away on Twitter?

Yea what a ****** tweet. It seems like the search firm is interviewing former players.. and of couuuurse those are the only candidates you will hear from most of them is those 4. This isnt news.

There's so many better coaches out there. For a program that has such a hard time letting go of the past, we sure never learn from it. If that's really the list then they're not even trying.

Butch head coach
Bring in Mario in some Capacity.
Imagine the 2 of them in a South Florida living room recruiting.
I Like that scenario.

Yeah, that's what I got, and said right above you. This is going to be a 37 page freak out though.

I agree I think this can either be great or potentially awful... I am thinking its going to be awful he is leveraging alot of coaches an high school recruits what happens when those high school coaches and others dont get their way when Mario is the head coach. There is only a certain amount of positions on the staff. This is going to be ugly...

I'm an alumni maybe I can coach the team. this whole thing is such crap--its like the dummy leading the dummy. The former players have way way to much say--what the **** do they know about coaching except the ones who actually have been coaches before. all u have todo is look at Michael Jordan--best player ever and how bad of an owner president gm has he been.
