Murphy's better than Rudy ever dreamed of. He's earned a scholarship twice and plays on pretty much every special teams unit. It's a feel good story but not a charity case. He's not a liability covering kicks. He's short but he's solidly built and isn't afraid to knock a guy on his ***. Plus the kid is in medical school so he's gotta be a smart dude.

I get that people are in some way demanding excellence from this porgramm day in and day out, it should be the standard that is putting this programm back to the elites, but the amount of cry babies on this board has skyrocket within the first month of this season. This kid puts his f****** soul into this programm, yet some of y'all are still bashing him. I hope some of y'all guys played sports in their lives.I can assure you, working constantly on your craft and grinding through adversity and then have the opportunity to finally succeed...that moment is priceless, how can some of you hate on a kid in a situation like that? Some people on here have some soul searching to do, it is painful to read sometimes.

You have to realize it's a generation thing. I've been a fan and a season ticket holder since I was 8 and I was born in 1972. No older longtime CANE would ever bag on a kid fulfilling their dream to be a MIAMI HURRICANE. It's the newer Generation who jumped on the 2001-2002 years that seems to be the "What have you done for me lately crowd". It's even gotten worse with the newest generation of kids and you could look at recruiting as the biggest example. There is no more (Loyalty, Play for the home team, put up for the crib) type kids anymore. It's what can you give me and how much.
