All those recruits whose phone calls he’s not returning? I don’t mean to be confrontational, but it just seems like he’s TRYING to come out of this looking as poorly as possible. It’s bewildering. All I can think is it’s all just a tactic to make FSU so sick of him that they’ll forget or drastically reduce the buyout just to get him to let them move on.

fsu, the school, has no leverage with Jimbo right now. He can do what he wants because if they fire him, they will owe him 40 million dollars, that's why they haven't done it. If he leaves on his own, which he will do, it's a WHOLE lot less. If you go to Aggieyell, they have already ready reached an agreement, which he has agreed to and it's a done deal. He just has to sign on the dotted line, which he'll probably do Saturday afternoon.

Wouldn't be surprised if there is some verbiage in his contract that has higher penalties if he leaves before the regular season is over. That would explain dragging it out until after Saturdays game.

All due respect, this has zero to do with Miami being on the rise and everything to do with the stench in Tallahassee.

Florida State has been dealing with noise since Jarapist, academic fraud, New York Times exposes and other like articles.

Facilities are taking a hit—and their fan base has gotten Gatoresque; the same stuff that drove Urban out in Gainesville—delivering a title and those trash bag fans expecting that as the norm, while revolting when it's not. The fans have turned on him and he knows it. It's about them, not the Canes getting better.

Toss in Jimbo's divorce and the guy wants a fresh start. aTm talking about $7.5M annually and he'll get a good 2-3 years there before he'll feel any heat.

His time with the Noles has simply run its course. If he was going to leave Florida State over a rival, it's going to be defending national champion Clemson, who challenges them for the Atlantic every year—not Miami. Please. A little logic here.

Agree with all of this, but I also think bad evaluation, and poor judgement in character at the QB position has been His downfall.

Malik Henry from what I hear was a druggy, the other QB punched that girl out in a bar, and Costello for all intents & purposes is a bust. Oh and, He tried Lamar Jackson for a DB.
