Heard South Carolina is looking to interview him...

Haven't heard yall mention him. Interview or nah?

I've mentioned him.

I think most people are scared of his show cause but it'd have little impact if he's hired IMO.

He'd miss the first 5 or 6 games and the bowl game.

He'd still be able to recruit and hire his staff.

He's def worth an interview. Fuq a show cause. Smdh. Didn't know he still had a sentence to serve
 
The guy is a winner. It's not like he was busted for any recruiting stuff or paying players.
 
So let me get you brain surgeons straight. No to Butch, in part because of the NC scandal (even though he was cleared of all involvement and even has a letter from the NCAA to prove it), but yes to a guy who received a show cause and was directly involved in the **** that went down at Taint?

I don't recall reading any posts talking about the academic scandal at UNC in regards to Butch. It's about his ability to turn into a coRch from time to time and lose to inferior teams whether it's at Miami or UNC.

I see you have selective memory. Plenty of posters going back for at least a couple of years have constantly brought this point up as to why Butch should not be hired.

Even up to a few weeks ago, people were saying that he was involved, where there's smoke there's fire, all the typical bullshyt. Then when Butch came out and declared that he had a letter from the NCAA confirming his innocence, all of a sudden nobody wants to man up and say they were wrong.

Now, I'm not accusing you personally because I don't memorize exactly who said what, but I assure you that people were talking this **** on this site.
 
Of all the names, Tressel would be #1 for me. If dude comes in and is good enough to have us in the ACCCG or big bowl game in year one I would gladly to take the penalties.

Tressel is a better coach than Butch. Best part about Butch is his eye for talent but he is no slam dunk by any means. Tressel would have this program humming.

The guy is currently the President at Youngstown.

I highly doubt he'll return to coaching.

I would take the vest any day. Guy is a winner. Then all you doobs who bought orange ties can buy a matching sweater vest

He would be worth the scrutiny and having to deal with the year one show cause. If Butch Davis NCAA stuff is bothering the BOT this would really get them puckered up.

Actually, he can.

If he coaches again before his show cause expires in Dec 2016, he'd be suspended the first 5 games, conf title and bowl game, can't attend practice or games for the first 5 games. He also has to submit progress reports to the NCAA.

If you think about, with what UM Compliance has has to deal with it, it'd be easy for them to babysit Tressel.

If Tressel is a candidate for South Carolina, he can be a candidate for Miami.
