Jim Kelly Article "The U will be back under Richt"

Kelly said it won't happen overnight. I think he's wrong. What we see next time they take the field will be unrecognizable.

I agree

We will look more like an SEC team, rather than some pussified Big 10 team

Miami needs to look like a tradional Miami team not a SEC team. The traditional Miami teams consistently whooped up on SEC powers.

I think by year 3 we'll see marked improvement even with a new QB...Year 4 the effort will be in full Hurricane Mode....

For all Al Golden did wrong, he deserves some credit for putting together a roster that, with GOOD COACHING, can win right away. He couldn't get out of his own way on game day. Neither could Coley or Coach D. Dear lord, the upgrade in this coaching staff is beyond what mortal words can say. We were competitive with FSU the last three years. A real staff, and a real coaching philosophy, will immediately put us at the top of the Coastal. No waiting to win what we SHOULD have been winning the last couple years. Also, it's not like these players aren't going to buy in to what Richt will be doing. This is like giving oxygen to a man that has forgotten what it was like to breathe. The kids will buy in, and work their butts off to get it done.

Bottom line, we have the talent to win. We have the coaching staff to win. Why not win?

You would complain about a SEC type team in Miami after 10 plus years of mediocrity. And knowing the SEC has won more NC's then all other conferences combined during the last 10 years. Richt is bringing an SEC mentality to Coral Gables.

Miami of the early 2000s was built the way successful SEC teams are built now.

The only reason I said we will look like an SEC team is because Richt coached one for the past 15 years.

Stop splitting hairs.

FCK this "look like an $ec team" bullsh!t. The []_[] will look like THE []_[]: who $ec feggits have aspired to be.

Who the **** cares what it looks like as long as they win ******* games.

Not splitting hairs. SEC teams for the most part are built to play defense stop the run and use a power run game to win. Miami teams have been built to play the run on the way to sacking the QB because the Miami offense was going to drop 40 points on opponent in the blink of eye with speed at every position.

Miami traditionally has had the fastest overall team in college football, rarely can you say that about SEC teams.

You're splitting hairs, and it's a dumb argument.

"Bro no way bro, Miami of old bro, not SEC. F8ck that."

Regardless of what we end up "looking like" this season, it will be a step in the positive direction.
