It’s an interesting point because yes, without a good OL, you have zero time to throw the ball as a QB or holes to run through as an RB.

But I’d argue an OL can’t solely win you a natty, it just sets the foundation for a successful football team. Michigan doesn’t win that Natty without their DL. Texas and UW don’t make the playoff without their WRs. That’s where the difference makers are found.

Not sure there’s a truly right answer, just some good discussion.

We had a top 10 offensive line last year with mediocre quarterback play and it got us 7-6.
Obviously what ole Jim isnt telling you that having a GREAT OL AND having a pretty **** good QB who will be a 1st round pick (JJ McCarthy) is the ideal situation. But for all the followers of Jimmy "The God" Johnson..his motto was the same. Build your team from the inside..out..
