MEGA Jeremiah Smith Thread

Kid made the best decision at the time with the information he had at that time (before Cam committed).

We’ve been trash for over 20 years.. I never blamed the South Florida guys.. I mean how could you.

Now let’s go kick him and OSU ***.

We had been trash and hadn’t really been producing nfl receivers like that I honestly Get it. But on the other hand I get Being part of the change for a program too. I’m telling you we get Bailey we might be cooking

We hadn’t produced Pro OL or DE’s either but Cici and Bain committed to changing the program. He could’ve had the same impact but I also get why he decided to go to Taint.

To me, he chose the school that's been putting out first-round receivers, it's not that hard to figure out. He didn't believe or wasn't sold on Miami as a program, so let's go whip his ***, and keep it moving.
I don't blame him for going to OSU. He's taken shots multiple times at Miami. Just don't understand it. I'd be publicly pulling for my former teammates, friends & hometown city.

Smith isn’t a guy who hates Miami like some of the past elite south fla guys who spurned us imo . If Bailey does come to Miami it might get spooky

Smith doesn't hate Miami but he could have been a legend at the school he grew up rooting for and all his family and friends are fans of. Look at Michael Irvin, 40 YEARS LATER.

Guys like Bain and Mauigoa, Rayray, Fletcher, Damari Brown the year BEFORE JJ. They saw and believed and wanted to lead the change.

Then we get guys like Blount, Patterson, JoJo, Chance Robinson, Jordan Lyle the same year as JJ who wanted to lead and change.

We even had Bissainthe, Kelly, Moten who came 2 years before JJ.

Bissainthe and Moten and Fletcher and Bain will be guys Mario talks about like Saban talks about his 2007 and 2008 classes. They'll be legendary at Miami for bringing the U back.

Granted all of these guys didn't work out but they were all S.Fla kids who could have gone to a more successful program at the time and chose to stick with Miami and try to be program changers. JJ didn't want to take that risk. That's ok and I'm sure it was a hard decision but he also left behind the ability to be a legend at Miami forever.

We have never stopped producing dends Rousseau and Phillips just had went first round a year prior. Plus combo for Cristobal and Mirabal hard to turn down for an American somoa kid especially when they just saw them produce Penei Sewell the year before

If I remember correctly his official visit was infamous GT game so I get it. But come Wednesday want him and Ohio state to feel

I'm salty AF at this dude. I feel like we would be the favorites not only for this game but to win it all if he was on our rooster.

Miami is NOW playing in these big games … and watch some SFL elite player in the future will come out and say “ Yea they made the playoffs but the reason I did not commit to Miami is because they have not won a championship recently ” there will always be a reason as to why some big names don’t want to play here. Beating OSU will be soooooo sweet!

You can argue one way or the other whether he made the right decision or not, but one thing he **** sure did was make the EASY decision. He took the easy path laid out before him instead of taking the road less traveled, in the words of the incomperable edgar allen poe.

Rousseau and Phillips had no impact on why Bain chose Miami. Sewell was a few years removed from OREGON. Miami’s draft stock wasn’t close to being stellar. Both Bain and Cici have stated they chose Miami to help bring the program back to where it belonged.

Got nothing against Smith, he’s a once in a two decade talent and we missed him even though it was close.

He made his decision to go to OSU as the proven top tier program and producer of NFL WRs. So far it’s worked out really well for him

He’s a big time player that wanted to play in big games and contend for championships. Until literally last week we were not that

You can tell he now wishes he was at Miami especially seeing what Mali is doing

But hey it is what it is. Hopefully we shut him down on Wednesday but don’t be surprised if he gives us the Dalvin Cook treatment type of game… he’s that good if the QB can get the ball to him
