2027 Jeremiah Mark, DT - Picayune Memorial (Picayune, MS) offered

“I was actually asleep, and my manager called me,” Mark said. “He told me he had bad news, and I was confused. He told me to add my brother to the call. Then he told me Miami had offered me. I was in shock. I had to pray and thank the Lord. It was a surreal moment. A year ago, I didn’t think any of this would be happening.”

That’s because Mark spent the majority of his high school career playing basketball. The 6-foot-4, 275-pounder recently returned to football and has been drawing the interest of SEC programs like LSU and Ole Miss. “I just came back to football,” Mark said. “I had some small offers, but now, I’m exploding out of nowhere. It’s unexpected, but I bring heart. I’m gritty and athletic. Honestly, I think I have the best get off in the country.”

“I talked to DTrain (Dennis Smith),” Mark said. “We had a quick conversation. We didn’t have a lot of words, but he just seems like a chill guy. It was good. I’m supposed to be talking to Coach (Damione) Lewis soon. I’m looking forward to that.” “I like how Miami develops players,” Mark said. “I’ve been interested in Miami for a while. I watched them when I was younger, and my dream came true. Miami is definitely one of my top schools. I love their production and everything they are doing.”

Mark is already scheduled to make a visit to Miami in October for the game against Florida State. “I just want to see how the culture is and if it’s somewhere I personally want to be,” Mark said. “I want to see the defensive line, how they get off and what I can learn. I know the atmosphere is going to be crazy. I want to see how the stadium pulse feels.”

Man with all these kids coming( pause) to the FSU game I can see Mario wanting to put a Clumpson type beat down on the Noles and ending Mikes career at FSU…won’t be any 3 yards in a cloud of rubber pellets in the second half of that game…

Blood bath nothing less is acceptable . Up 50 with 3 seconds left on the goal line u score again

I think this kid is really gonna blow up this year in football. He has great balance and is a very good basketball player. I saw a bunch of his games last year as my son was on the freshman team. I didn't think much of him at the time as a football guy. He was really focused on basketball.

Story about him focusing on basketball:

OVing to Miami for the FSU game.

Sidebar, i find it fascinating Ole Miss didn’t try to sidestep the fact that our offer is the only reason they knew about the kid.

This time it was from Ole Miss defensive line coach Randall Joyner. He congratulated Mark on his Miami offer and then let him know he just picked up another from the Rebels.

Mark is looking to take visits, likely officials, to both Ole Miss and Miami this fall on Sept. 19 and Oct. 17, respectively. He's also looking into lining up visits to Alabama, LSU, Florida, Texas A&M, and Florida State.

"It's been great," Mark said of the flurry of interest. "It makes me want to grind harder. Now that I'm at that level, I have to work out every day. And the chance for an education, I thank God about that. Only a couple of people in my family have gone to college."

Did anyone on here know about this kid a week ago? Everyone is intent on flipping some 5 star committed elsewhere while the coaches are looking for virtual unknowns that emerge late. IMO this is how much fill the remaining 2-3 members of the 2027 class.

I knew about him only as a basketball player. He played a little football earlier but his first love was always basketball. So I'm pretty sure no one outside of Picayune knew anything about him as a football player.
