Georgia assistant Jeremy Pruitt would 'jump' at UM, UCF jobs

Miami has a lot of intriguing options in this coaching search to say the least. Im glad golden is gone, the best thing he did is leave some talented pieces on the roster for the next coach.

I always thought Jeremy pruitt was good, he turned fsu's defense into one of the best in the nation, since he left they haven't been no where near where he had them. Now he is at Uga and they were ranked in the bottom half of defense before he got there now he has fielded 2 top 15 defenses and they are agressive

would be fine with him as DC. No way he's qualified for HC here. He'd be a pretty good fit at UCF though.

No current college defensive coordinator should be considered for the job.....PERIOD

They simply do not make good college head coaches.

You win in college football with dynamic fast paced offense.

Also, Pruitt is a grade A scumbag. He was run out of Tally for having an affair with a coed.

Oh my. Lets give Mr Pruitt the TEST:

Butch Davis built the greatest team in football history; began repeating that at UNC; wants to work for us.

So, my questions regarding Jeremy are:

1. Is Jeremy better than Butch? No.
2. Is Jeremy equal to Butch? No.

Fuggetabouit!

I'm full on board with Butch but let's be real can we trust the administration to give us what WE want. I feel they want a younger coach who will be a splash hire in the likes of Herman. Butch Davis would be a splash hire because of his pedigree but who knows if they will give him a shot

We're not in a position to be hiring a coordinator as a head coach.

Pass.

Young guy, good pedigree. Split Alabama to take the DC job at FSU then immediately jumped back to Georgia. Georgia's defense is pretty solid. Dude can walk into any kids house sporting three national championship rings from two separate programs. He's an SEC guy looking a head gig then will jump back to the SEC at first opportunity. Too much risk going the coordinator route and too many better options.

I think he would be very good but he probably wont get consideration

It would be a great hire for UCF....dude is an elite coordinator and recruiter

I agree with no assistants for HC at THE U. It seems the FSU and Bama have won most of the latest NCs. Both with really good defenses and hardly the offenses you describable. A lot of team that ALMOST make it have those offenses. Urban slipped in a got another but you cold make the case that the other team actually had the offense you speak of and Urban had the defense in that game. I agree to NOT Pruitt but not because he is DC, just against assistants in general. Heck, even Butch came up short his first time around here. Now it is time to give him another.

There are plenty of better choices that are salivating at being the lead savage in Coral Gables. Big time pass on this guy.

Broke keep pulling **** out your a.s.s and throwing it up against the wall...your bound to have some of it stick. Then you can crown yourself an "insider" who broke (pun intended) the news first

Who is even claiming to be an insider? I just read the article and posted it. Whats wrong with that?

Yea, we cant take the risk. Plus I dont know if Pruitt has shown enough to warrant getting the job, isnt he struggling in UGA? Sure he wants to bail while his name is semi hot and hoping he can Golden his way to a better gig.

There are good candidates out there with coaching experience. Only DC I give a look to would be Venables and that is because he has experience as a DC working in cohesion with an open explosive offense. Most DC are comfortable with that but he should be having worked with bradford record setting Oklahoma teams and now Clemson spread. But unfortunately he is down list as we cant really take the chance.
