@Rellyrell Don't forget that he also played in 1 less game in 2016 due to an injury. We also played a MUCH more difficult schedule in 2015(as far as defense goes). UNC, Pitt, Duke, and Virginias defenses were all significantly worse in 16 than 15. GT was about the same and VT was the only school to have a better defense in 16.
FSUs defense took a massive step back in 16. Then we had to go up against Clemson instead of NC state in our cross divison game. WVUs defense was laughable and was not as good as WSUs defense and Nebraskas defense blew the ND swiss cheese defense out of the water.
There is a reason the scouts thought Kaaya was a first round pick pre Richt and after Richt he was at the end of the 6th round. Even with the easier schedule Kaaya averaged the same amount of yards per game as he did in 15. Yes he had more TDs, but that is because Njoku became an absolute red zone monster in 2016. Even Rosier would be able to score often in the red zone if he had njoku going for the jump balls.
